A 14$ jigsaw will do the work cutting any size of wood to plywood from 1x1-3x6 its not worth it doing experiment just to cut a portion of wood trust me all you need to have is a expensive jigsaw blade mine was 10$ for 3 sets and can do the work without using a killer grinder. I also have grinder but it is exclusive for metal cutting and grinding only never will take a risk to lose a life or limb just to cut a portion of wood

He’s trying to spit the sawdust out front away from him, so naturally it’ll kick back towards him, if the grinder was spun 180 degrees, he’d have more control, and if by chance he hit a nail or something, the grinder would jump away from him… I suspect the operator is just too dumb for his own safety

For safty to prevent kickback the removed meterial should be pulled from the meterial to be sliced or ground. So if it was to bind it will pull up and away from you if you are to loose controle. Was nice to see you running the guard on it. I had a flapper disk injury where gard was not on due to flat sanding sheet steel with it. Got a nice gouge out of my knuckle.

The way you are using it, even if you had used it for angle grinding, you would have met accident. You are not holding it properly.

I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read kzread.infoUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.

Hold with both hands (use plastic holder). Grinder direction is wrong. Blade should be on left. For wood, run grinder from front to backwards. No kickback. To be safer, use Graff speedcutter disc or Bosch multi disc

Also, secure the wood you are cutting. The reason it kicked back is because you cant hold the grinder with one hand while also trying to keep the wood from moving.

Grinder Safety 101 Hold it the other way so the guard is on the right of the grinder. In the video it is one the left. You know you're holding it right when the sparks or woodchips are spraying towards you. it won't kick back. This is coming from a welder who learned grinder edicate the hard way. The way he's holding it is how you get grinding disks explode in your face.

@@dexterboro1836 the blade spins counter clockwise. The part of the cutting wheel that is cutting should cut towards you pulling the grinder away from you. While holding the grinder the blade should be on the left of you so the extra handle sticking out the side should be sticking up and on the left side of the grinder.

@@patangpecotot4877 Admittedly I've never cut wood with a grinder. My guess is there's a bit different technique to it. As far as my advice goes it is still true. If the saw dust blows towards you then you are good. If the grinder binds up it will pull away from you and not towards you. No different than a chainsaw. Especially with wood discs I can see you losing a finger. I'll take a metal cutting disk over a sharp wood disk if it tries to eat my hand

Grinders come with a handle for a reason. Yeah it will still kick back but holding it right can help a lot. Clamping it works wonders too.

Blade teeth in wrong position and Full Speed locked .. that's your problem! Try doing from other side with firm grip of machine and the wood too.. and don't press down while holding tight. And one finger always ready for stop switch.

I use it for wood carving all the time. Mainly "attack" with the front of the saw. It's not like cutting metal. And hold it with two hands. A lot of backcuts but I got used to it. Roll with the punches!

Dont use the left side for cutting or gouging. Thats always going to happen. 12-3 o clock is your typical work area

It looks like what happened is that the force from cutting caused the wood to move. Once the wood moved the slot that was already cut pinched the blade and caused the wood to get thrown forward and the tool to get thrown backward. He should have had the wood in a vice and should have used two hands to hold the grinder.

Exactly, when working with a tool like this it is necessary to have a better fastening on both the cutter and the material. Holding the material and the tool lightly will invariably lead to accidents. A lesson to beginners.

Grinder can be user for wood cutting. The problem is that you don't hold with only one hand, you don't cut from the top (aways from the edge) and you need to hold the matterial somewhere to do this. And for god sake use PPE.

How stoopid are we supposed to be? Turn your grinder over so if it jumps it pulls away from you, you want the sawdust coming towards your leg, not the saw blade, and put on some shoes where your not going to lose a toe!!! Either this is a parody, or the operator isn’t fit to use a hand held screwdriver

Angle grinders are not designed to cut wood, no matter what people say. Just because you can buy a gadget that allows you to do it, doesn't mean you should. It's just stupid and irresponsible. I know several people injured with those small saw blades, all of them with less fingers, and one of them almost bled to death. Those blades are for small format circular saws, and should be designed in such a way that they cannot be installed on angle grinders. Angle grinders are designed GRIND by abrasion, not cutting with an edge, just don't have the mechanical stability that allows them to hold up the torque and gyroscopic effect generated by the blade at such high revolutions. Although there are some attachments that are used to carve by abrasion or with sharp edges, but I have not read any angle grinder manual that recommends their use. Which is why I don't feel any empathy or sadness for people who put themselves in that situation and get seriously hurt. It is simply irresponsible. Use each tool for its intended use.

This video is showing how not to use an angle grinder for cutting wood. The tool is not dangerous, the operator is. Would you take a skill saw and try and cut wood like this? No, unless you have no experience using tools properly! 1. Secure the piece to be cut 2. Screw on the handle for your angle grinder so you can use both hands.

открути 4 винта которые держат редуктор к корпусу после чуть чуть выдвини редуктор и поверни в левую сторону так будет проще и удобнее и безопаснее пилить диск будет вращаться не на тебя а от тебя но и при случае если диск заклинит то болгарка отскочит вперёд зато останешься цел и не вредим но по инструкции нужно заготовку сначала закрепить а болгарку держать двумя руками

I saw at least 5 big mistakes: 1. The man is not wearing protection gear (no boots, no gloves, and I supose no goggles, and no mask) 2. No clamps to fix the work parts. 3. Using that type of disk that is not so safe. 4. Holding the angle grinder with only one hand. 5. Holding the piece of wood basically with the fingers.

Never use that blade i got 4 stitches last year it took 3 months to heal ALHAMDULILLAH my hand and finger was saved

It happened to me once. It's just few inches away from my face when it happened. Thanks God it did not touch my face. I do not recommend this blade. Use a the proper tool instead.

The cutting object must be anchored properly. Use of safety gears such as safety boots, gloves, safety goggles are important as well. Lastly, use 2 hands. GOD gave u 2 hands, use them wisely if not, u will end up losing them in an accident like this this.

You should have clammped the wood, then hold the grinder with 2 hands using aux handle. It will kick back if you hold it like that.

as someone experienced in the grinder and in the use of that wood cutter blade i can tell you it's always best to cutter little by little, mark the line you want to cut then cut along the line a little deep then repeat until all the way through by doing that im able to do so with one hand with no kick back.... not that you must use with hand, rather use 2 just a suggestion if you don't have vice grip .... use power drill electric or cordless.... find extra off cut piece of wood narrow enough to grip with your hand then find a way to attach that wood piece to another piece of wood that you want to cut you can drill at a angle from the corners for the wood you want to attach,.... this way you can get a firm grip of the wood you want to cut 2 Esdras 2: 31 -100

Just buy a 14$ jigsaw and it will do any kind of wood sizes. From my experience buying a expensive jigsaw blade will do the work do not ever buy a cheap jigsaw blade it wont cut into wood

The blade should be on left side, or u should check the rotation direction. If its opposite then it will be kick back.

Holding it away from body doesn't mean it's safe. Holding the grinder and the wood firm and steady is important. And at least a minimal safety gears.

Because you using a wrong rotation. You need switch the wheel on other side

Huge dangerous kickback. I was saved by a wooden chair handle which deflected the grinder away from me.it all happened while I was using both hands. I think cutting wood by angle grinder is not a good idea.

A friend of mine had a serious injury to his hand in an accident while cutting a piece of wood while working on the tile.

Angle grinder for cutting wood is stupid idea. No glove, no shoes, maybe no safety glass.

You see that big black cylindrical thing attached to the grinder? Maybe hold on to that?

There are dedicated wood cutting blades for angle grinders, the normal circular saw blades cannot be used on angle grinders it will definitely deliver kickback.

Hey that means if you put on all the super high class safety materials, there won’t be kickbacks? Man its not about using safety materials, its about how to avoid kickbacks.

Its should rotate in other direction , or else it will hit the ground and then you. Change its direction - flip it ( grinder can be used by both side) .

I'm actualy scared to use angel grinder.
