I just recently found him myself. I'm 72, I started singing when I was 14 and sang in bands from bar rooms to church choirs to the big stages. My health doesn't allow me to get out and sing. The point is in my 72 years I have never heard ANYBODY that has the vocal range Dan does!

The thing I love the most about your covers is the power and joy that you bring to what can all too often sound like they're being sung so politely that they might as well be children's songs. Holy crap dude!!!! When that English part came in, I almost died from the power. That last note was so controlled and powerful. The first chorus gave me such Phantom of the Opera vibes.

I totally get what you mean! Which is weird, because the Phantom of the Opera is French, not Italian - though it does feature an Italian opera singer in certain adaptations (Carlotta is either Italian or Spanish, depending on the adaptation)

I agree! He sings with such passion and power. That last note was so powerful that it seemed to knock him backward when he finished. I don't speak German, but what a beautiful sound. Every song I hear Dan sing, I listen to it 2 or 3 times, then move on to the next song. So far, his one-man choir singing Hallelujah is absolutely incredible.

Well, I wasn't prepared for that!

I was deployed in the desert one Christmas and I played this song (a different version) a few times to rest and comfort my heart.... but listening now to how you (Dan) performed this....... just brings me back to that moment of comfort and pure joy. Its hard to explain my emotions. I feel completely happy and calm. Thank you!

I dont care if it isnt christmas, I am still vibing to this.

I want to say thank you for your beautiful voice. I think I was guided to your voice by my mom. I miss her so much. She passed away about 10 years ago and I stumbled upon your rendition of Amazing Grace. I was moved to tears by your voice. God bless you and thank you for the gift of your voice.

I lost my Mama ten years ago too. And his voice is such a blessing to us all, I know Mama is loving it :) He is phenomenal and for some reason THIS voice gets me. Others are okay, but this is very special.

My three year old son who has a speech delay has been singing his little heart out to your version of this song and your “Amazing Grace” cover non-stop for weeks now, and wants to listen to those songs any chance he gets! He tries to sing all the languages in “Angels”, and on “Amazing Grace” he practices his fry scream towards the last half of the song and says “Yee Haw” when the harmonica part comes on. :) For your music being a blessing to my family this year, here is a Christmas blessing for you in return. What a lovely story! My 4yo thinks the lights behind Dan are a monster truck. He wanted to see the truck, then he was worried Dan would get run over by the truck. It's been two months (its the end of January, and we still listen to this song almost daily) and I think he is finally understanding that he won't get to see the monster truck and Dan isn't going to get ran over by the monster truck. 😂

Hi Dan, the way you made this video, sang it and the way how you made it yours took my breath away. You are so talentent and sing with so much passion and feeling that you deserve it to be heard all over the world and to go on tour so we can hear sing you life. That would be amazing. Music to me isn't always about the language it is sang in , I need to feel it too and you always give that feeling. Many songs you sang blown me away. Please don't ever stop sharing your amazing voice with us.

I didn’t want to say this when you first published this because I was afraid it would get drowned out in all the Christmas cheer, but this is legitimately the best Christmas gift a stranger has ever given me, and based off of how often strangers give out gifts, it is likely going to be so for much of if not the rest of my life.
