Right at 8:29 when she takes that diminished chord on "I believe" just pierces my ❤every single time. I have decided, for me, this is my favorite performance of hers and in my opinion her finest recorded performance in a single song. This is the Angelina I love the most, this era right before the big change with Republic records. Don't get me wrong, I love all the new music and I love everything that she does but if I had to say my favorite sound it's along these lines. And may I say I miss her big brown eyes😢

Well, thanks for letting me get my morning cry out of the way. I liked the original song and listened to it many times on the radio when it came out. Now hearing Angelina perform it the tear ducts just open up.

I must say that Angelina’s breath taking cover of Lauren’s beautiful song is at the top of my list of my most favorite Angelina covers. I get chills every time I hear Angelina’s rendition of this song.

This is the most beautiful voice you will ever hear in your lifetime. Hitting piercing high notes and whistle notes wont even get you to Angelina's doorstep. This voice stops time. Mouth open and hairs sticking up. Thanks for the pleasant reaction. 👍

You say was only released recently. The 2021 Christmas concert was a pay per view live stream. The viewership was very low. (It was only $29. Per link.). So I understand why it was not released for a very long time. The was a very wonderful surprise at that concert. She put every once of her soul into this. It sends chills down brought me every time I hear it. Yes Lauren Daigle wrote and sings this beautiful song. As you commented Angelina added a second fantastic version, that is so beautiful. That what Angelina wants for all of us. Jess please listen to Angelina’s original, Seventh Heaven we. You need an extra lift out of your insecurities and aren’t quite needing You Say. Absolutely love you guys! So genuine and down to earth. The song is everything you say, and for me it is one of Angelina's best performances at only age 15. Soulful, rich, full, and emotional. You speak about the song and love in general. I had the opportunity last weekend to attend Angelina's debut US public concert in Portsmouth New Hampshire. She was everything you'd expect, warm, elegant, and classy. And the love you talk about from this song and performance was contagious in the concert hall. Angelina projected nothing but love. I visualize Angelina wringing every drop of emotion and passion from every song that she performs. Vocally speaking she bares her soul and leaves no stone unturned in her interpretation of a song’s lyrics. Hence why our souls feel a visceral connection to her’s.

It was amazing!

I don't know why I keep watching reactors react to this song by Angelina because, 100% of the time, I get about halfway through it, and I, as a 68 year old man, become a blubbering mess of tears. I guess because the song, as a Christian song by Christian artist Lauren Daigle, is clearly a prayer to God my Creator, Saviour, and Sustainer. This was two years ago, so Angelina was 15 years old. Fifteen! Lauren is great, but Angelina's soulful, emotional voice and presence takes it to a whole other stratospheric level. Great reaction, y'all!

Great reaction as usual. Actually you aren’t really behind on this one. As this is from her online only 2021 pay for view concert, video was not allowed on KZread for quite a while. From my understanding I think this video has been out there but not until fairly recently Angelina’s team allowed it to be shown.

It's worth hearing the shared version between Angelina and Lauren and this time when you listen to it you will think more that they are not talking about a relationship between a man and a woman but about a person's relationship with his God (this version will knock you off your feet) 🦶🦶👑🗣🎙🎷

The fact is, God is specifically addressed in the lyrics. When I heard her sing this song at her concert back in December 2021, I had never heard it before and, I didn't realize she was talking to God until she addressed Him. Until then, I didn't like the way it was going b/c it seemed she was too needy, and basing her existence on the approval of another person. That would not be at all like the Angelina Jordan I had been following for several years. There are still some fans who take the fact that she dedicated the performance to her fans to mean that the song was about them. That's really arrogant and I can't believe they could really think so little of her.

In dedicating this song to us fans, Angelina was simply showing us that in times of weakness and life's valleys, we can draw our strength from God and believe. Thank you for your post!

15 years old here and she takes your heart wrings it out and then lifts it up.

Many fans believe this is one of her best vocals but recently she seems to be going on a different path , not everyone is liking it though. Angelina was aged 15 here close to 16 , dont know many of that age would be wearing a shoulder shawl .great performance here i want to hear more of that voice .❤❤❤

The power of her breath and her control of it is amazing. Just listening to her breathing in this song is moving. Angelina is a powerhouse of soul. I always enjoy your reactions. I've got a good one for you. It's been around for ten years or so. It's from the O'keefe Music Fountain, a nonprofit music academy for children. At no cost, kids get access to music equipment, recording studio and professional production in music and video recordings. The video you need to react to first in your introduction to the OMF is the Tool cover of 46 and 2 by children from the ages of ten to seventeen. The musicianship, determination and dedication by these children will give you chills and tears. Thanks!

It would have been phenomenal if Angelina and Nat King Cole could have sung together! Wow! Also, I was listening to Dean Martin singing "Sway" on my car's Sirius XM radio today, and I suddenly remembered Angelina's beautiful version of it. I got out of my car and was about halfway to the door of the supermarket before I realized I had this big, stupid-looking grin on my face! Lol!

At times it's hard to distinguish if it's Angelina or Lauren singing, but then you realize Angelina's superior low range ability and a more powerful voice that she does try to restrain somewhat, wanting to stay as 'spot on' as possible to Lauren's beautiful original.

This is an amazing Christian song, but I believe Angelina, in dedicating this to her fans, was speaking of how they all make her feel. I not only totally enjoyed your reaction to 15 year old Angelina's cover of this heartfelt song, "I Believe" that, because this was posted 14 hours ago, 1 day after Jess's birthday, that Jess has the same birthday as me! (Sept. 27, but NOT 1948 😀)

I love the original of this song and when i first heard AJs version i was put off by the omission of the word it. It threw the flow off and it didnt make sense to me. Then i thought about it and realized that by removing it from the song she is saying she is laying herself before god, not just her works.

🎉Your kind of music. This concert was not publicly released. A voice-only file leaked out early 2023. It was only slightly successful, but there was no effort to block or take it down. This video was only put on one of AJs official sites this summer, so you aren't that far behind.

In another video she dedicated this song to all her Angel fans. It was very heartfelt and touching. Then she sang this amazing song. One reason you didn’t see it before is because they didn’t release it until this year for some reason. I watched it on the Concert for as long as it stayed on the air and thought surely they would release it right afterward, but they didn’t.

Her 2021 Xmas special was over the moon. And when she closed with this, dedicated to her fans, it brought me to my knees. For me, this is one of the Greatest religious songs ever; right up there with "How Great Thou Art". But when Angelina sings it, well, it's just beyond description. I melt every time I hear it. I lost my breath, and I got chills, and the tears began to fall. I am an atheist, and my faith is in mankind, and the universe, the antithesis of chaos, not some mythical being. I believe the song "You Say" is referring to Angelina's Angles, those that support her in her quest. There must be a supernatural place in the universe, how else can we explain this being called Angelina Jordan. This is by far and away her best performance. This is her magnificent voice in its purest form. No stylistic alterations no vocal gymnastics. She just sings and her voice does the rest. When I heard this I have very high hopes for her EP, but unfortunately she took a different stylistic route with the songs.

She dedicated the song to all her fans at her concert.

I agree entirely with what you're expressing here and I get it completely as a Christian myself. However, there is a misspelled word here that became a very vulgar word. You should edit and correct its spelling to "shed." I know, of course, that you did not do that intentionally, probably just in haste or a spell-check auto-correction which should not have been a correction. God bless!

Angelina closed her virtual 2021 Christmas concert dedicating this to her Angels for our support. 2020 and 2021 were very challenging for Angelina. She had great plans after her AGT appearance, all destroyed by the pandemic. As a 14 /15 year old with very high goals, I have no doubt she struggled (7th Heaven has some of the same message). The constant unwavering support of her Angels helped her through, as she helped us cope. Love your reactions, how you interact with each other.

I always thank the heavens that Lauren wrote this beautiful song for Angelina to perfect.
