Sarge, thanks for this wonderful reaction and all the others you've done for Angelina. I am a Vietnam veteran, at 79 years old, and no singer has ever touched my heart the way this girl does. This performance is more meaningful than anything else she has done with Angie's Iranian heritage, the Nobel recipient, Narges Mohammadi in prison in Iran for 31 years and the original reason for the ballad "Unchained Melody." I know you are pressed for time, but you might want to check on a 13 minute video from James Theil that gives a fuller explanation: kzread.info/dash/bejne/hmqd07Z8gMivdpc.html. As usual it may have seemed effortlessly but believe me, she was into this slowed down tempo of 'Unchained Melody' so much she was concerned that she might cry during the song. Briefly, the Peace Award was given to a woman currently in an Iranian prison for speaking out about women's rights and the oppression of women in general. The Nobel Peace Prize Committee decided to recognize Narges Mohammadi and her efforts and it was a wonderful gesture for them to make. The Award Ceremony takes place in Oslo, the birthplace of Angelina, and the Norwegian Orchestra and Angelina knew each other very well. Angelina's grandma is Iranian and so you can see the connection. The Iranian officials once considered releasing the woman from prison BUT under one condition, she stop talking about women's rights. She met with her family, her husband and two children (teenage twins, a boy and a girl) who currently live in France, and they talked about the possibility of reuniting as a family and how wonderful that would be. But, Narges Mohammadi told them of course she loved them very much but she also reminded them how strongly she felt about the issues she raised and told them she could never agree to the conditions. Thus, she remains in prison. When Angelina was singing the woman's two children were sitting right in front of her and although she was emotionally sensitive by everything going on she performed at a level so high and endearing, it took our breath away and the closing moments of the song can only be described as, "Oh my God, what did I just listen to?"

For me, this was the most beautiful performance of hers to date. Absolutely mesmerizing, Angelina was on the cusp of being 18 when she performed. Some background: The recipient for this year's award was Narges Mohammadi, an Iranian dissident, now in an Iranian prison for her outspoken messages and activism for women's rights. Narges' two twin children were in attendance that evening for the event, and spoke on her behalf prior to Angelina singing. The children are Angelina's age and haven't seen their mother in years. She was able to speak with both before her performance which, I'm sure, made the performance all the more poignant for her in the moment. Angelina is one-quarter Iranian herself, her grandmother Mery, full Iranian. Thank you Sarge.

Thank you for your insights on this wonderful performance. Angelina inspires me to do what I can to help make the world a better place, so I am asking all angels and others to spread the story of Narges Mohammadi. Angelina was recorded here in December 2023 at the Nobel Peace prize ceremony in Oslo Norway, performing this beautiful version of Unchained Melody. She paid tribute to Narges, who is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two twin children, who are 17, spoke on her behalf at this event. The more people who are aware and call for change, the more likely the leaders of Iran will set her free. Acts of kindness are inspirational, as Angelina always reminds us. We angels, and all others must honor Angelina, and those who represent our values, by doing all we can to help, and be kind to others. Even the smallest gestures can make a difference. Thank you all.

A masterful performance by Angelina Jordan. This is the second time she's been invited to the Nobel Peace prize which is held annually in Oslo, Norway. Where Angelina was born. It is being performed by the world famous Oslo orchestra called Kork. Also in the audience already recipients of the Nobel Peace prize that Angelina is singing to. She has a live audience, beautiful orchestra and millions on national TV watching her. This is who Angelina Jordan really is. A sincere, humble, passionate and compassionate soul. This is why the Angels love her so much. She is able to bring her great vocal qualities into a song in a most solemn occasion and deliver a masterpiece at the age of 17. They say Angela can sing a phone book and sound like an angel. I agree there isn't any genre that this young lady can't sing and make it her own and make it wonderful to listen to. Every song you listen to by Angelina. It makes you want to hear more and that's who she is. I want to thank you for continuing the journey and keep posting my friend. Thank you so much!👍🇨🇦❤️

Angelina and KORK(Norwegian Radio Orchestra) just did a magnificent rendition of Unchained Melody! The perfect song for Narges Mohammadi Nobel Peace Prize! And let’s not forget Angelina’s Iranian heritage and Oslo is her hometown! Third time with KORK, she did Back to Black and Summertime when she was 10! Has been invited twice to Nobel Peace Prize, previously appeared when she was eight! She has brought grace and elegance back to the stage! Narges is in jail for leading the fight for women’s rights in Iran! At the end Angelina puts her hand over her heart acknowledging Narges children who were on stage and happen to be Angelina’s age and are living in exile in France! Remember that she was codified a National Treasure of Norway by the King and Prime Minister when she was eight years old! Sarge, I see my fellow angels have provided the important background to this amazing performance, which was very personal to Angelina. I offer you a suggestion to hopefully ease your frustration about wanting to react to a number of artists you have learned of and enjoy. I suggest uploading one or two reactions per artist per day. It is my belief, uploading multiple reactions to the same artist on a given day, hurts your views. Personally, I only watch one reaction per day from a given reaction channel. I made an exception with you yesterday. I know there are viewers on both sides of this issue. Some are like myself and have limited time, while others enjoy multiple reactions from the same channel on a given day. My suggestion allows you to keep each fanbase happy with one or two reactions per day. Totally up to you, as it is your channel.
