The two extremes of Angelina Jordan---country crooner and rocker. WOW!! This young woman is Fantastic beyond description. We all wondered what would happen as this prodigy aged. Well, wonder no more. She just keeps getting Better, and Better, and Better. And I see no reason for that to change. And her stage presence is just Remarkable---candid, vulnerable, appreciative, and loving. AJ has the ability, like no one else on earth, to cover a song and make it sound enough like it was originally performed to make you recognize it, but then she makes it her own with what I call the AJ touch. She has covered many songs in the past that did not interest me when they were originally done, but when AJ performs them, they become so special. We are all so proud of AJ, we are all like doting parents, or in some cases, grandparents.

Amen to that. I don't like the Michael Jackson song "Heal the World" but I cried when AJ sang it! Also a lot of people who don't like country love her version of "Crazy."

@@103mrg Actually censorship is a political issue only, nothing to do with entertainment. eg easy to imagine a commenter who could get themselves banned from a website whose declared intention is to promote discussion of opera singers by continually talking only about rap. Can it be argued that they have the inherint right to talk endlessly about rap on a website of a club organized explicitly to appreciate opera?

I agree with you. Angelina is at her best when she performs live. Like any real musician, she improvises and adjusts her delivery with each performance. And live, you hear those "perfect imperfections" that give real heart and soul to her performances.

Angelina and her band on fire here - this with the other concerts in Norway this summer should have taken place in 2020 - the build up went on for so long, it's hardly surprising that Angelina, the band and her fans were really pumped up! Angelina's voice has obviously matured so much and her interaction with the audience more intimate and relaxed. I was at the final concert at Kurbadhagen in Sandefjord on July 10th - it was even better! Angelina says that she will return to Norway next summer - I will certainly be there, who knows how much better still this young lady can get?

In addition to this concert at Kongsberg, she sang 2 songs on Norway TV2's Allsang på Grensen followed by 2 concerts at Kurbadhagen in Norway. The videos from the 10 July concert, the last one, are special. She was so happy to finally be back on stage.

If you search for "Kurbadhagen July 10 2022 and Angelina Jordan" you will find several people who have filmed the entire concert (18 songs) and Angelina has learned that many people have come from all over the world and that when she chats between songs she speaks both English and Norwegian my favorite is "Mattias Axelsson"

Kongsberg is a town in Norway were they usually have a yearly jazz festival. Angelina performed there several times already. In 2018 she was there with the same band (though with a different drummer at the time), and they did great. She also performed Crazy back then. You are so right in saying that live performance gives even more admiration of her skills. You get more nuances and details. I was standing 2 rows behind Chris Walker that filmed this. As far as I know, she was only performing in 2014, 2016, 2018 and now 2022 in Kongsberg. Now, if I should have missed any year, I'd be thankful for references indicating her presence.

I was there for both Kurdbadhagen concerts=right up front. I got to spend time with Angelina and her mother (Sara) after both. It was magical.

Schnell, you must react to Mt. Everest. It's short in duration but long in soul. It's also very telling of how versatile Angelina is and what the future holds for her and her fans.

Kongsberg 2022 refers to Kongsberg Jazz Festival, an annual jazz festival in the small city of Kongsberg, Norway. It has been arranged since 1964, but was cancelled in 2020 due to covid.

Another great reaction to Angelina Schnell!. I was in Kurbadhagen Sandefjord on the 10th of July to watch her live and believe me the video's on You Tube are Amazing but fall a Million Miles short of the actual experience of being there. I really hope you get to see her live one day because it is an experience you will never forget.

She sings mercy this she got this cover mercy for a major motion picture as the soundtrack, the hating games so she got the soundtrack for this movie which was good it was she did well in that. Watching her live is a different experience!

The fan that shows his appreciation at the end of Crazy(Giving the thumbs up) is a big Angelina fan, supporter and reactor. He was very fortunate to travel there to enjoy the show. I have been following Angelina for several years and I have subscribed to hundreds of channels to enjoy reactors on their Angelina Jordan experience. Angelina done great on both cuts but I want to say something about the bands that play for her they are fantastic the quality seems to not vary from band to band all are great must be another Norway thing anyway a great reaction.

I think you are absolutely correct about how AJ's live performances are new interpretations of the songs vs. her recordings and even previous live performances, probably even within the single concert series. I think this shows she is a true Jazz Artist, unconstrained from repeating herself and becoming boring. My prediction is that if she were to start concert touring regularly, then she would quickly form a tour following "Angel" fanbase like the "Deadheads" were for the Grateful Dead. I don't think she would have a purple haze at her concerts, though. That would be different.

Thanks Schnell. As mentioned below Mattias Axelsson has the whole cconcert from Sandefjord the 10th july as a playlist, where you also get almost all Angelinas interaction with the audience. The concerts in Sandefjord is a little bit more intimate because the stage is lower and you stand a few meters from the stage. It's worth watching if only for your own enjoyment. ❤

Great job. My wife and were blessed to be able to watch both the July 7th and 10th concerts. The experience hearing her live was everything you imagined and more. Yes you can hear every little sound she produces, all of which enhance the experience. Also the voice/band mix is cleaner than on the recordings. As great as that that is, hearing and watching her interaction with the fans, between songs was the icing on the cake. That was at Kongsberg - 7/7. I find it hard to believe but three days later at in Kurbadhagen the experience was even more Heavenly. I hope you have a chance to see her live. Looking forward to your future AJ reactions

Because her mother insisted that her education was the number 1 priority so she attended public school and could only perform when school was not in session. Also, English is her third language which I’m sure they don’t speak at home very often,since Granma Mery is from Iran, her mother is Norwegian and Granma Mery’s husband was Japanese. So she probably only speaks English at school and when she sings, also she comes from a very loving family who also happen to be very secure financially so there was no need for her to be abused, as Michael Jackson was by his father, for financial gain for the family. With 2.5 billion views across all her social media platforms, I’d say she’s already made it big, considering her first album isn’t due to drop until next year. Then there’s the matter of that Harvard T-shirt she was wearing in a recent TikTok after a trip to Boston. Room for thought!

With really good artists, I tend to prefer the live performances as well. The rawness, the feeling, the little imperfections making it much more real and emotional than the polished studio versions. The whole series of concerts was so very good. She was clearly so happy to be back on stage again and was radiating joy and pleasure. Angelina has always loved performing live more than anything . I was happy to hear you talk about her band , they have performed together numerous times over the years ,tho not for at least 2 years because of covid but they dont seem to have missed a beat . You should check out her performance of Mt. Although Angelina's covers have equaled or surpassed all original versions, I feel she's fallen short of Patsy Cline's powerful urgent cry on "Crazy". However, it might just be a function of maturation. As she gets older I'm sure she'll eventually be capable of soaring at Cline's heights too.
