For all those that mentions that she is humble. This is kind of a part of Norwegian culture. We have kind of a unwritten law we call "janteloven". A big part of it says "You should not think you are better than others". In general, even if you meet famous people / actors in Norway they will generally be civil and consider you a human being of equal value.

@YouSurf 2 From what I learned is that AJ's father is an engineer (patrolium) and most of the time away from home out in the field or off shore oil dericks. Even when he's at her performances (very few though) he tries to stay away from her daughter's lime light. If you guys go back and watch the NGT where she performed the Gloomy Sunday and made the judges cried, you can see the TV interview before the show, the girl said that her dad, grandma, mom and friends are there to lend her support. I've seen AJ's dad picture and also her grandpa's (her mom's dad).

Her heart is like no other. God please watch over her, amen.

He is always with her

Angelina is a gift to all mankind. She is one of the greatest vocalists of all time; and she is one remarkable young woman. Her performance of the song, “I Put a Spell On You,” when she was nine is what made me a fan of hers forever. It is an incredible performance… seriously, I’ve never heard anybody that sings like her.

I'm a former English teacher, but I cannot possibly think of enough "adjectives" to describe this extraordinary young lady in every way possible. But I do have to say that if there is anything that matches her beautiful voice, it's the beautiful humility, charm, sweetness, and kindness of her soul and spirit! May she never lose that! As a former teacher and as a Dad of four, I love young people. However, Angelina (at 14 and obviously at 6, when she met that little girl) has an extraordinary level of empathy, depth of feeling for others, and compassion which I don't see in many of our youth of today. Her parents named her well, for she is truly an "ANGELina"!

Maybe there's hope for humanity after all.

She spent time in the US at a very young age. Most Norwegians are fluent in English because it’s such a small country and they have to work with foreigners or abroad frequently.

Tom Lager Went to Oslo in the dead of Winter. The dark days can be a little depressing. Lot of Swedes as migrants working in hospitality. The middle aged and older natives can be quite old fashioned.

I have fallen in love with this sweet soul. The way she interprets music is unlike anything I have seen before. The more I learn about her, the more I think I understand how this is possible. She is probably HSP (hyper sensitive personality) who is empathic and also has a natural linguistic talent. She can feel the emotions in song lyrics as they were written by the songwriter and she can emote and project that through her own voice. Singing is like a 3rd language for her (Norwegian, English and music). That is what I believe, and why I have been binge watching all her KZread videos for the past 3 days since her AGT performance popped up in my recommended list. Now I have downloaded my favourite songs of hers from Apple Music, have watched not only performances from when she was 5 years old onward but also any reaction videos and interview videos I saw. She is a legend in the making, and the world will soon know her name and her sound, but her family and humble upbringing will hopefully keep her grounded.

When you see her on stage, her demeanor is so different that you forget she is still a child. Watching this interview reminded me that she is still very young, but her music is so mature.

Okay! This made me cry! She is precious and unbelievable beyond words! What an amazing young lady and an amazing upbringing she has had by her family. When she said, "Do you want to hear it?" I'd be like, "Are you kidding me? I want to hear everything about you!" Just extraordinary humility, grace, polite etiquette, poise, maturity, and charm for a 13-year old girl. Just hearing her comments in this interview has been so inspirational to me and has made the rest of my day! Thank you, Angelina, you sweet Godsend! Angelina has an enchanting quality about her whether she's singing or talking. She thinks about concerns such as personal loyalty and deep feelings for people such as the girl she gave her shoes to and her grandfather. She talks softly, but when she sings - in songs like Bohemian Rhapsody, Oslo and Shield - she expresses herself in a way that shows she has a tremendously powerful, dynamic personality. I've never seen anyone like her. She's a superstar as a singer and as a person.

Well said! She reminds me so much of Elvis, the way he always spoke softly and respectfully when interviewed or talking with fans, but then a powerhouse the moment he opened his mouth to sing. She could be this generation's female performer of the Elvis Caliber Mega-stardom.

I don’t know what it is about her voice. Just about any song she sings makes me cry a good cry. Not many things in life does me . My heart is somehow in line with tone of her voice. The sound of her voice is so soothing and hypnotic that my mind goes to places in my past. Some memories are sorrowful and painful and just by listening to her angelic voice some how makes everything better and replaces them with joy and happiness. Voices like this only come once in a life time. God Bless You Angelina Jordan! Thank you for precious gift you have given the world with your songs.

There is a agency called "Random acts of Kindness foundation" They would probably give Angelina a Gold star for giving up her favorite shoes to a stranger. A true heart of gold!

We hear so much today about the "me" generation; young people who seem to feel a sense of "entitlement". And I don't blame these young people, because they, as we, are the products of our social institutions. And then we see and hear this young singing prodigy, and she displays all the opposite characteristics; humility, kindness, generosity, and grace. I want to see Angelina become a superstar. Not just as a reward for her talent and hard work, but so that bright light will shine on this remarkable young person as a role model for all youth around the world. there are cynics who would say she doesn't really have a heart of gold as she projects ... she's just saying that to gain popularity.... but i know in my heart that ain't true ... it clearly feels like what she says and what she is inside is the same person. talent-wise she was the best on the show personality wise there isn't even a comparison

Everyone's comments are true but the one thing I get out of this is that although she sings and acts with maturity beyond her years, in fact, she is a child. She makes us forget this when she sings but I'm reminded of her youth in this interview.

I'm 45yo yet this angel of 14yo has taught me so much not only about myself but also about love and life... which I very much thank her for. Whatever path she chooses from here she has my full support... in saying that she owes me or anyone nothing as what she has already given is a godsend... I'm not even sure she is aware of the affect she has on us... all I know is since discovering her a couple of years ago my life has been better... (strange to say that about someone I have never met and don't know) but its true... best wishes and god bless you beautiful Angelina.

I dont want to brag about Norwegians, but we have a "law" called Janteloven (the law of Jante) at its simplest describes the way that all Norwegians (and in fact, other Scandinavians too) behave: putting society ahead of the individual, not boasting about individual accomplishments, and not being jealous of others. ... Janteloven is more a set of unspoken social norms. Norwegians are also very respectful toward children, we listen to them and respect their individuality, wants and needs. (It's forbidden by law to physically punish a child. Its not even allowed to spank them, hit them etc.) I believe thats the main reason our children behave like Angelina does, why we have very low crime-rates and why we are ranked as the happiest country in the world. Im very proud, as a Norwegian, listening to her speak. But, the majority of our children and teens behave this way. Although, not all of them would give away their shoes at 6 years old.....

Beautiful, clearly gift, and appears to be emotionally intelligent. I look forward to seeing her in concert live. What a gift she is to the world. I (downloaded) purchased her Bohemian Rhapsody performance. Loved it!

Here is a comparison you'll probably not hear anywhere else: She reminds me a bit about Leonard Susskind, the physicist :-). He also seems so completely relaxed and laid back, even a bit slow when you listen to him. Same thing with her. Yet the actual amount of sensible and beautiful things coming out of their mouths per second is very high indeed.

Great interview, Rusty! Angelina is a very beautiful and special person. Her importance in life is way beyond just her singing. Though through her singing, Angelina, touches the souls of millions! And even if it is only for a few moments, it gives great joy and comfort to the soul!

I will agree with some reviews that singers Diana, or Daneliya, are great singers, and some people will even add Grace Vanderwall to that list, but to me, none of them have what Angelina has. I listen to them for 10 minutes, and I am done til next month, or so but I cannot go even 1 day without listening to Angelina. I listen to her at night on You tube, and during the day whenever I have a spare moment on my MP3 played. I Have become a Angelina Jordan addict. I am 76 years old,and I hope I live long enough to see her become a world wide Super Star.

@@leebrn8588 , as Spock on Star Trek would say, "Live long and prosper" my friend! God bless! I'm 65 and I'm hoping, too, that I will see how she develops into super stardom. I keep saying she may be this generation's female counterpart of Elvis Presley! But I hope it will be without all the "baggage" he endured along the way! Angelina is beautiful inside and out; her spirit and soul shine brightly as the star she is becoming.

Such a beautiful soul ♡ I just don't understand why she was off the show so quick. I only saw one performance where she got the golden buzzer, and then she was gone. What happened? She should have won. She's so genuine and humble. God bless Angelina Jordan ♡
