Angelina has performed a Mariah Carey Whitney Houston collaboration. When You Believe which was the theme song for The Prince of Egypt. She makes it totally her own. The video online you would want to select is the one that has the bonus ending.

Angelina's versatility is absolutely unprecedented and unmatched in my listening experience. Before discovering her I would have thought that it was impossible for one singer to be able to sing so many different types of songs across so many different genres as incredibly well as she does, but she has proven me wrong again and again. She is astonishing.

This performance is beyond belief, the cinemaphotography, the ART, and this time we get to savor over 4 minutes of total bliss, no one is capable of doing this song justice like Angelina Jordan. David Foster and Linda Thompson, who co-wrote this ballad for Whitney Houston would be blown away by this performance. She changed the key to this song, but does it really matter as long as she has the ability to give each word, or phrase, meaning like no one else in this universe can. How can she evoke such emotion in each and every performance? Why do I get chills, or cry tears, or lose my breath when Angelina sing a song that I have experienced many times in the past without this happening? If this feeling only happened to me that would be ok, but it happens to billions of people. We play these videos of AJ over, and over again to get our high. I was a Whitney fan from the beginning of her career to her tragic end. Whitney was great, but Angelina at 16 is far better than Whitney ever was at making you feel each word, and phrase. AJ changes every cover to make it hers and far, far better than the original. AJ is the greatest STORYTELLING ARTEST I have ever experienced in my 75 years.

Which version is better is the wrong question. Whitney Houston is a role model for Angelina and has influenced Angelina. Angelina pays tribute to Whitney with her version but of course with her signature Angelina magic dust. At her last concert on July 10th 2022 in Norway, when Angelina told why she sings this song and dedicated it to her grandmother Mery Zamani (her grandma couldn't accompany Angelina on the trip to Norway and both were very sad), I understand this song completely differently whenever I hear the line "Don't you dare walk away from me" . I think that's the difference, Angelina loves the song. 💯 *AJ* 💯 BTW, If we are to believe what Kevin Costner and David Foster ( he wrote this song and produced it) said, Kevin Costner "Whitney Houston hated that song, she didn't want to sing that song, I had to talk Whitney into it". David Foster "The recording of this song with Whitney was very tiring and challenging. After many days of trying and trying, we finally got it done". 🤗

"Better than" is not really measureable. So, the question should be, which do you prefer? And while I do love Whitney's, I prefer Angelina's.

When Angelina covers a song she takes ownership of them. IMO, Her vocal arrangements and extraordinary singing ability are better than the original sings.

She covered when you believe originally sung by Mariah Cary and Withney Huston

Whether she's taking on Whitney, James Brown's classic 'It's A Man's World', or a host of other songs by exquisite artists in numerous genres of music, the result is always something that blows the listener away. I've even heard her taking on Christina Aguilera's huge song 'Hurt' and she is 'spot on' with regard to parts of the song's most difficult lines to sing. Did I mention she was 6 when she did that?

She is always wonderful but we all have our favourites but my favourites from this year is her Elvis cover SUSPICIOUS MINDS the one in the antique shop and MOUNT EVEREST and Adele cover EASY ON ME

I read a comment the other day where the writer said that Whitney was 28 when she sang this song. Angelina is 16. Good to keep in mind. Thanks for your reaction .. and oh .. that last note .. blew my mind. She is a wonder. I am going to start asking a question to all angels .. has anyone asked Angelina if she likes or wants to be called AJ? We are using it SO much and I, personally, am not a fan. My name is Patricia and all my life people tried calling me Pat or Patsy or Patty. Had to start saying no and asking for my name, which I actually like, to be used: Patricia. So I always wonder when I see AJ used over and over by so many of us .. if we asked what she would like? She may like it, or she may not like it at all. I wonder how we could ask her directly and allow her to tell us so we use the name she is most comfortable with. If I had my way it would be Angelina Jordan .. but she might be ok with and even like AJ. If that is so .. so be it.

It fits so well, it's even her first and middle name, last name Astar. In that circumstance is usually when you get the AJ or RJ, or JT, or DJ, etc. Unless they have two first names as well of course. It's short for text reasons, and no one gets to pick their nick names, except for you apparently Patricia 😋. But absolutely we'd listen to her if she had a preference, or disliked a specific one. As far as I know, Angie is popular, by her, her family and fans. It would be the correct one to use, since nothing else is confirmed accepted by her. Seen it in a years old video IIRC, so at least at one point. I use AJ a lot, I doubt she minds, but you raise a valid question. One day we'll get an opportunity to ask, she doesn't do much fan interaction in that way. If nothing else a talk show host or article interviewer will ask for us, and hopefully I don't regret my lazy choice that I like.

It totally fits her black leather jacket, Janis Joplin rocker type look she has a lot lately too though, not while performing but backstage or in studio. So I'll fight for it until I hear otherwise.

One Angelina Jordan the best poet she is in her singing every word she does not care to her vocal range etc just feels the music so she translates it to everyone…most places WH sounds screaming you lose what word she is singing but Angelina in each song the lyrics and the music becomes one really

I love how Angelina and her fans are living in your head rent-free. Your thoughts revolve around us constantly. Every day you scour the YoutTubes for reaction videos, think about what comments you will write under each video, and wait for replies that only certify your disorder. All this work just to keep your brittle ego from crumbling. You are so screwed. Love it!
