Hello, Buddy. This is one of my favorites by Angelina. This recording happened the day before she left for LA for the first time to prepare for the move that would come two years later when she was 12. She was 10 years old in this video. It was recorded on a rooftop in Oslo, the capital of Norway. It aired live on an extremely popular television program here. When you think about the meaning of the song and that she would leave Norway for the summer, it somehow fits quite well. Everytime we say goodbye I cry a little 😊 Great reaction👍 Love from Norway as always ❤❤❤❤❤

The original of this was an Ella Fitzgerald masterpiece, and let us not forget that she was rated as the Number 1 Jazz singer of all time, followed by Sinatra, Nat King Cole and Billie Holiday. So what does Angelina do differently in this casual, outdoor rooftop performance? She stays 'spot on' with Ella's version but simply slows it down. When they say 'less can be more', this is what they are talking about, for to me it is the best rendition of this song I have ever experienced.

"The First Lady of Song"'s version is delivered with more power and seems to me to give the feeling that "We" WILL be together again, while Angelina's is so softly wistful, that it seems to offer no guarantees...that this May be the Last time... For me it is all the more heartbreaking for that.

No one, other than Billie, is placed at the top of the musical pedestal by her and Angelina has heard all the great singers. Billie was the most improvisational singer of all time, inventing aspects of vocal delivery that no other singer did. It's amazing when you realize that as a poor, uneducated Black singer she had no musical mentors and sang from the soul like no other singer ever did. Once she reached the night clubs of Harlem, she became the true 'Queen Of Jazz'.

No one matches the emotion laden penetration Angelina brings to a heartfelt ballad, with the possible exception of her musical mentor Billie Holiday.

Her performance of this was absolutely amazing and for her to be able to stick to the original version with the same tone but a slight alteration is amazing and shows the depth of her creativity

It's fascinating that so many people want her to perform popular and famous pieces! I want Angelina to sing things that she likes. To me, she appears as an artist with a will of her own and I fully support that. It seems that some people consider it very important that she becomes famous and wealthy. So be it, but I don't think she's selling her beautiful soul to mamon. I really appreciate her unique choice of songs.

Amen, money changes our perspective on what is important. Happiness and joy and fulfillment have no connection to being rich. In fact as we see time and time again money often brings pain and can lead to a destructive life. Love of money, that is 😊

I agree she's very genuine in her music and the way she's able to carry herself in each performance is out of this world. I hope that the pressures of the industry does not get to her as she continues forward

This is just one of the amazing performances Angelina created in her 10th year. It's truly spectacular. I always get a smile as I watch her check her nails at the microphone during the introduction. On National TV and so relaxed... This song was written by Cole Porter in 1944. Benny Goodman made it famous in 1945. Elle covered it in 1956 with her incredable rendition. It's since been connected with Ella although it wasn't written for her. Angelina performs with a lightness and clarity that is so unique. Today she could probably still perform the song to perfection. But, I believe we'll never again hear this special performance of a little angel on a rooftop in Oslo... Truly a special moment in time... 8:45 PM, July 4, 2016.

This will always be one of my favorites. A 10 year old AJ calmly delivers perfection.

She definitely shines a light into everyone's heart. She makes you put things in perspective

There are many examples of children who became famous at a young age. Sometimes some of these have had difficulties later in life! Angelina's family wants Angelia to have a normal upbringing and be a child and teenager like everyone else. When Angelina is off from school, she has performed in tons of shows all over the world. Most were charity shows for children. Angelina has lived in several countries and traveled a lot during her upbringing. She is well aware of the different conditions that exist in different countries! Angelina and her family have turned down many who wanted to sign a contract with her. But at 14 yo, she signed on for the Republic record. The condition of this contract is that Angelina and her family decide when it is time to promote her fully.

Right after this she flew to the US and one of the things she while they were in LA was AJ sang at benefit concert for the Mattel Children's Hospital where she escorted there by Gene Simmons. And yes Kiss put on painted faces for a picture.
