I love Angelina's voice,,,, velvety yet powerful,,, and the way she performs is always fantastically suggestive

Angelina always sings with alot of emotions, felt and conveyed, often, eyes closed to better feel them; here is no exception. I find it easy to resist to the temptation to listen to her with a cool head, like i do usually. She entices me to let go of any resistance as a listener, and, like you said, Oliver, in a previous video, to feel the song. I automatically go along with her. She then reels me in. I never felt that kind of spell with any other singers, male or female, even with my two idols, Dimash and Lara Fabian. This is part of her magic, i guess: at first, she smiles at you repeatedly, like if to say: I am inviting you to quite a ride! Are you ready? I am ready, you wouldn t believe how much i am! Watch me! She is so confident in her abilities and so fearless in face of every challenge that each song poses. Here, another iconic song, difficult apparently, that she sings effortlessly, it seems. Beautiful smooth key changes, rich low voice, sweet inflexions, powerful lungs, a shout with tremolo... It may be back stage, at home, but the presence: dark hair, black dress, warm color painting (by grandma?). Oh, and she is 13, right? Once she is finish, she smiles, laughs a little, mischiviously, in a shy way. When she was younger at the studio, it was the many thumbs up to grandma: i am ok! Now, it is in her eyes that i can read: i told you so! Her goodbyes are a renewed invitation to the next ride. I love her so much! Don t you love her too?

Thank you for your insightful reaction to this Angelina Jordan performance. It is obvious that you are someone who appreciates the technical and artistic aspects of vocal music. After 40+ years as a music educator and jazz musician, I would say to all young singers: Don’t try to sing like Angelina, until you know how to do it, especially where she belts out in the high register. Take voice lessons and learn everything you can about vocal technique and artistic styling. If you try to do what she does before you know what you are doing, you could severely damage your voice and may never be able to sing again. Angelina has a gift that, comparatively, very few people in history have ever had. All of her physical vocal abilities and sense of musical style came with her at birth and because her family played music all the time as she was growing up. She is a force of nature. You can aspire to sing like her, but don’t push it. We would like to see and hear you on KZread someday!

Glad you are doing so well, Love your Angelina reactions and congratulations on your "Nurse Betty", I have done that also with both Dimash and Angelina, I have sent her emails with video's of most of Dimash's songs and still sending her some of Angelina. She is 80 and does not know how to use KZread, so I just keep sending her emails with about 7 videos per email.

Delighted to hear that all went well with your surgery and are on the way to a full recovery. Did you think to mention Angelina to "Nurse Betty"?. Thank you for another reaction to Angelina. Welcome back! Great reaction as always. Angelina did a straight-up cover for this song in that she didn't arrange it differently to suit her style in the same way as Bohemian Rhapsody. It is still an amazing performance that does Freddy justice, but I feel somewhat unsatisfied because it's missing her signature touch - the breathiness, the melisma, the unique phrasing etc. In short it's not as jazzy as I expected. Perhaps she made the choice of style out of respect for the original. In this style, she did a better job with "A Song for A" - though to your point she would have sounded much better in a studio with this cover. Anyways, take it easy my friend, I can't wait for you to react to 8 year old Angelina singing Michael Jackson's "I'll Be There" - truly stunning and one of her best performances in my opinion.

the truly amazing part is that she put her own touches in, so subtly that you didn't even hear them, Inside my heart is breaking, for example, and that long note, at the end... There were other spots, but the upshot is that she can paint herself on the song, and still put it out there as if it be the original, with a new 'depth'.

I agree a larger room would be good. This is my favorite.

Angelina will be listed among the greats before she is through. It's funny but more often it's the mastery of the subtle passages rather than the "big" diva moments that a great singer shines. We should expect much from her in the future.

I agree with you about the sound, but it was more about the amount of delay and reverb being used and the volume of the vocal relative to the track. All I could think of while I was watching this performance was OMG, what if she had a chance to sing the song LIVE WITH QUEEN!! And that is not as impossible as some might think.

I love this performance, and as I have stated before to this; - I really look forward to - and hope she some day will do a live version of this. All with a proper band and some backing vocals. Freddy Mercury never recorded this song live - I saw Elton John play this at his concert in Vienna in the 90's, beeing the highlight. However, Angelina delivered this song better than Elton... In combination with the lyrics, pure poetry, despite her age every word has a meaning and resonates.... I think it is fair to say that she is the best vocalist in her age group ever and now.

Yeah,thats my exact thoughts on this performance. She shouldve been in a proper "recording room",then this would have hit the 10 out of 10 for me! But im not even gonna try to take away anything from her,for making this the way she did,and knowing that she is allowed to fail and learn abit along the way,regarding her age and the fact that she did theese videos pretty much on her own,to have fun and doing what she loves,that makes it perfectly fine. Its enough people in the YT comment sections allready,who try to hate on anyone who dares to step forward and show theyr talents. Like i have seen some rather hateful comments on her Whitney Houston video "I Have Nothing". Excuse me but "hello,do you know her age when she recorded that song?" For that age,i think she absolutely killed it! Im sure there is noone saying that Angelina did it better/just as good as Whitney Houston,but knowing the extreme difficulty that song lays on in vocal control and range,i must say i have never even heard grown ups come close to nailing that song,or any of Whitney Houstons other demanding power songs. But Angelina? She came extremely close,and she isnt even finished maturing yet,imagine what she can deliever in 5-6 years time from now. THAT alone gives me goosebumps!😂

She sounds great but the music and vocals are not mixed well...I know it's just a recording/mixing issue and not Angelina. Also, this is kinda unusual for Angelina...she usually sings in a more subdued style and here she's belting a bit. While this is really good and shows off more of her upper register, I think I prefer her quieter songs....they seem to carry more emotion IMO. Cheers!

So...she can sing anything, right? Well, at least this is one version I can listen without breaking down, unlike the original. Freddie's voice is too much for my emotions in this one.
