I agree it would be more prudent for Lorna to write songs for Angelena

At 12 it’s amazing how she can sing such a hard song and does it better than the original! She’s truly amazing!

It's just a 12 yo schoolgirl singing a song. But she does it better than the original. Song after song. I have compared a few, and IMO Angelina is better than the original in all of them so far.

Thanks to Lana Del Rey for bringing this song to Angelina's attention for her to work her magic. Certainly a difficult song to sing and as always, Angelina makes it her own.

i can picture what went on, Angelina came home from school, put on a karaoke cd with Lana Del Reys born to die, pressed record, knocked out a classic, then went back to doing homework

I thought the Amazon Prime driver delivered the karaoke cd to the wrong house. Angelinas mom had it on the table to return, when, Angelina, exhausted from recording all day, popped this in, read the lyrics and then pressed Record. Gave the recording to mom and said that was an easy assignment and went back into her room and recorded Wicked Game on her mini keyboard.

I love Angelina Jordan. The more I listen the more I fall in love with her voice and her performances. Such an amazing artist!! 💜

She just makes songs her own. I keep hoping for an Angelina arrangement of Stairway to Heaven.

you get chills with Angelina's low register and not with other singers because other singers have a horrible low register. They end just talking. That's why they end going to the high register all the time. This performance shows Angelina's hand movement. Is a thing of beauty.

Angelina is a master of vocal fry HxC, she has used it since her 6-7-8 year old singing. "I Would Rather Go Blind" is an extreme example of Angelina's Vocal Fry abilities. She has full control of it and uses it as she pleases in just about any song for musical flavor that makes her totally unique. Uses it in a lot of her Jazz singing which is something that is particular to Jazz music going back decades. The young genius has total control of her musical instrument as you are aware.

A vocal masterpiece in this song from her,and she change her voice in this performance,Lana song,and try listen to the original song by Lana,Huge differents of the way it was performed, like its a original song from Angelina.

It's by Lana del Rey, she kills it like she does all the songs she sings, "try young and beautiful", or "Back to Black", and of course "I put a spell on you."..she been my favorite singer since she won Norway's Got Talent at 7 years old. I Love AJ. she makes me Smile with my Heart and soothes my Soul.

On an equal with Lana, imo, better, and Lana's cost 1.5mil in her released version! I think what your talking about in her voice is called a " double complication " vocal Fry on her insane vibrato, not just fry. Definitely one of her top 5 covers! Great reaction!

Angelena’s rendition is without question better

A Beautiful Lana Del Rey song that Angelina crushed and turned in to an instant Classic for herself this would be the best cover for most singers but for Angelina it is just another day at the microphone !!! 🎤🎵🔊🦁.

I had never heard this song before Angelina sang it. So of course I went and checked it out. I finally learned at this point that Angelina's version would probably be better. I now sit back and enjoy my favorite artist on this planet every day. Thumbs up HC.

Not only does she sing it better than the original, please realise that she is doing this all in one take, at home, and sitting down. Then delivers a stellar performance - a new standard for this song at 12 years old!!! I don't believe there is another singer on this earth that could pull this off!!

If you're constantly worried about the storm that might come how can you enjoy the sunshine today!

HxC, I'm with you on the thoughts about dying. I went in for heart surgery about 10 years ago, my oldest daughter was all worked up, and I asked her what was wrong. She said "Aren't you scared? This isn't minor surgery." I smiled and said, "I'll wake up, or I won't. Worrying will accomplish nothing." There have been times through my 66 years where I could have easily died, and I'm still here, so I feel when it's your time, you'll go. Until then, live life and don't sweat what you have no power over. That said, Angelina brightens every day for me. I love songs that I would have never heard if not for her, and I love songs that she has changed, that I never liked before. She calls us her Angels, but she is an Angel to me. Every time I hear her sing, she is singing my favorite song. 😉

HxC, thanks for yet another great reaction. I appreciate your personal examination of the meaning of this song and your thoughts and feelings. Angelina does this to folks. She gives us the enjoyment of beautiful performances as well as things to self examine.

That low register is just killer. Plus how intelligently she uses that breathiness when she wants. Re your question, I think you're asking about vocal fry in low range, and riffs (I call the very short ones "decorations", but that's not music terminology) in the high range. She also seems to have some combination of overtones/resonances in her natural singing voice that just cut right to the core of me at certain points. Repeated involuntary eye sweat.

Highly, as I learned it from more than one vocal coach; it is called vocal frye and is done on purpose by her. The other thing that was atested to her is that she can sing with her head voice and her body voice it might be called. At least as 2 VC´s said, she has the vocal reach of 5 (FIVE) octaves. She can go down in the cellar LOL and in the next moment she reaches to the penthouse. So this charming young lady has the ability to sing opera, country, rap, reagey, and so on. The sound you are hearing can be learned, BUT she had it from the start. As always stay save and healthy with yours and German greetings.

Twang is the nasal sound common in country music, almost an accent. Fry is the sizzling breakup she uses that sounds like bacon frying .. other names are used for these traits but these are common. Vibrato is the warble that she uses, from slow to fast, with unusual level of control.

@@hu._- yes, she always uses her vocal fry. I noticed that her voice sounded differently, comparing to other songs. I'm not a vocal couch but I heard from one that she used this kind of sound (twang) when singing this song a long with her vocal fry and vibrato. Maybe the info is wrong 😞

Certainly not an easy song to sing but Angelina totally made it phenomenal. This is one of my favourite renditions and I really think this song showcases the brilliance of Angelinas voice. Totally flawless and perfection and so beautiful to listen to. Thank you for another great reaction

I agree, very technical, she is an expert on vocal control and has more musical tools in her musical box than any other singer that has existed.
