She's an amazing and beautiful woman, no doubt about that. My husband had Bell's Palsy several years ago and I agree that it is a terrible thing to develop, really devastating to the one who has it. Your face droops on one side, and looks terrible and has pain related to it as well. Because I was a surgical nurse at the time, I hit the books to read up on all I could about exactly what Bell's Palsy is and that it is mostly untreatable. I didn't accept or believe that it would be permanent. I came up with something that pretty much cured his Bell's Palsy over the period of about a month and a half. At that time, there was no treatment for it. What I learned about BP is that it's basically a glitch of the main facial nerves and that makes that side of the face "fall". It is devastating to people who get it because they don't know whether it will go away on its own or not. Back then there was no cure for it. Nowadays I think they treat it with Botox injections, but I could be wrong about that. What I had my husband do as many times as he could during the days he had it was to have him say out loud, "A, E. I, O, U" over and over with over-emphasizing the letters. In other words, he would use all of his facial nerves to recite those letters over and over whenever he could. In the car driving around, in the shower, as he went about his days. Eventually, over a month or so of over-exaggerating the pronunciation of those vowels , he began to recover the function on that side of his face. It worked very well! Now the only thing left from his BP is the eye on that side tends to water more than the other one but only when he's eating. If you get BP, get on it immediately with your doctor. In the interim, try the AEIOU exaggeration whenever you can, wherever you are. It might just work for you.

Bells Palsy is a common virus of the facial muscles that causes paralysis & it's temporary. It happens on one side. I guess acupuncture could help it - for someone who has to look perfect, but it will go away on its own.
