This is the 2013 movie "Hummingbird". A similar title from the same year is the 13 minute "The Angel of Death".

Well crafted movie. How the world is perceived. Well acted. Here Jason plays a much more complicated character than just an action hero. Thanks for the upload.

This is one of the best Jason Stratham film that I have watched. Don't expect a full on martial art action movie, but a well thought out drama showing what some people have to cope with in their lives. Jason is a perfect fit for the lead role but his co-star is an excellent actress too.

My sense is your view point is a retarded narrow viewpoint. What did you mean by 'life after war/ You mean life after murdering people in an other country? So life of a murderer person (ex-solder (hired gun)) who had become mentally disturbed as well as a non stable skid row alcoholic. Then what was he also doing after that supposed war and his alcoholism to earn a living? Was it an honest job? Or an honest criminal job as hard man for a criminally corrupt Chinese gangster? Sorry. I could not make out what the Chinaman's bussiness was and why so many other hoods, villiens, gangsters or loansharks were out to do them injury which required him to use the services of what they meant as a cold blooded killer which experience and a history of killing (murder). My guess is you were saying life with Post Traumatic Stress Sydrome (PTSS). But being PTSS is not justification for Post operational illegal criminal murder or employment by gangsters. PTSS is a sickness. You may be trying to say that the sickness (symptomatic side effect) is some form of justification for a choosen life of criminal murder as a business choice. But it isn't. It may be a factor to be taken in to consideration as circumstantial evidence, but it in no way justifies further crimes or illegal criminal homicide or bloody murder. I think you have been short changed some where along the line and now you in turn are tryibg to go public and short change us (Readers and other viwer's) with your short statement ;A gripping story of life after war'. A story of a mentally disturbed soldier gone wrong who goes further wrong using wrong as justification for more wrong. Wrong after wrong after wrong. Normal ex-milatry people do not all behave wrongfully (criminally) after milatry action. In the milatry, serious crime would still be a court marshallable offence. Sorry but it to me was not 'life after war' but serious criminally insane life after war or disengagement from national Milatry Service. PTSS is a mental medical condition used as a sympton to describe milatry personel who are grappling with a return to civilian life. It is not justification for ex-milatry to commit crimes after their discharge and if a person did adopt a criminal carreer then he would not be suffering from PTSS as it would no longer apply to the peson. A lunatic may try to think it does. But it does not. As he is no longer trying to grapple with the adjustments to civilian life but has embarked on an alternative life of crime. So it is not 'life after war' but life gone rogue. But you can not expect much better from Holywood fiction or from where ever that movie about evil came from. You can see more about his job description between his first meeting with the Chinese Organised Crime Boss and his 'New Rules Speech' at 31:51. 'No room service cards between our street and crown'. So the absolute implication is that he is fully compliant with a Chinese Orgnaised Crime group running a protection service for room service. So we are not talking here about a chamber maid or two providing room service. We are how ever talking about Chinese Organised Crime Room Service . Why not simple dial for the official security services such as the police. Clearly because they are a gangster organisation wanting to provide protection for other gangsters. So he is in the employ of Gangsters to do the gangster's dirty work. So he has become a real bad egg. About as scandulouse as they come. 'A down right bad'en' as Charles Dickens once wrote. So you could say he has swapped sides from the days when he was doing milatry service to protect the inocent from the criminals to one of the criminals who people employed in his former occupation were employed to arrest, remove or eliminate. That all does not make a person a person just suffering from post traumatic stress syndrome. But it does make a person a hood, a thug, a villein, a criminal, a gangster and if others die at his hands, then a murderer. Or a pyschopath.

Agata Buzek's performance was incredible. Loved Sister Cristina's "crazy period". Joey & Sister Cristina's characters were so beautifully developed. I wonder if there was scope for a Sequel set in Warsaw or Sierra Leone.

At my age of passed 80 , I have seen many movies from the old French/Italian coproduction's to the present ones , but this Gentleman is great in all aspects of acting maybe in the future we will get lucky again after all he is still a young Man.

It's odd I remember watching this film some time ago, it was well worth watching again, it went from an ok movie in my memory to an awesome movie now, Mr Statham is quite the actor.
