Where are the microphones if this is real? Looks like they're not even striking the instrument in many cases. Quite easy to fake, sadly. There is a certain analog reverberation missing from the notes. Waiting to hear from Malte about this discussion!

Haha, it makes me laugh every time someone is questioning the realness of the instrument. This is exactly the reason why I started to play it 10 years ago. I couldn’t believe it myself. I’ll gift you a ticket to one of my upcoming concerts in 2025 to get your proof ;) 💛

Microphone is actually a very small Zoom H6 recorder. It was laying on the floor in front of us. Extra reverb and EQ is added tho to polish the sound. Live is 10 times better tho

@@MalteMartenMethod how about a VIP pass to check out your equipment/setup prior to the magic concert?! all it takes is a cellphone to playback some click layers for your whole concert, that way you have less performance anxiety, yeah? and how do you explain the many absent knuckle strikes in this vid? showed this to several *sober* people and they all agree

​​@@pixelbender5897 i literally see EVERY click they do. Its a fluid motion. Look at maltes right hand. Or julias right hand. Always visible. Not even behind the pan. Microphones have this soft "fur"stuff, so wind gets cancelled. Every moderator in tv etc has it aswell, its not magic. You should know this. The mic is not LITERALLY on the ground, but on a small tripod. They dont play for 1 hour, its looped, maybe ~15mins. Always like this and no secret. Every musicians, if possible, hides their mic. In my last video you cannot see it aswell. Is it magic too? 😄

Yes but I consider that falling under the umbrella of fraudulent. I know musicians who work very diligently to play live without the assistance of a pre-recorded track

So I just had another listen with the metronome... The knocks range from 81-85bpm and the two of them are not always exactly in sync with each other. This tells me it is definitely without a click track.

@@marktat307 mmm, that doesn't work because of a handy quantize feature called drift or humanize. Nice try though . Fact is their fingers are not producing that sound in the video
