Anfernee Simons On Portland's Rebuild, Best Dame-Time Moments, Scoot Henderson & Going Pro After HS

Спорт

We are incredibly excited to share this interview with Portland Trail Blazers star Anfernee Simons. Ant is such a bright young talent in the NBA and we were so impressed by his mindset. Topics include: JJ and Tommy open with Western Conference odds and the Darko Rajaković rant on the referees after the Toronto Raptors vs. Los Angeles Lakers game. Then Ant joins the show and opens up with a story about JJ Redick humbling him during his second year. Then Simons talks about Evan Turner as his team vet, being the only American player to go straight from high school to the pros, learning from Damian Lillard, developing a clutch mentality, his favorite "Dame Time" moments ever, what he considers to be the best scorers in the NBA and much more. Enjoy the episode!

I haven't followed him at all but after listening to him speak, he's a wealth of knowledge. His retention level is awesome. I wonder at a young age and he played with Lillard made him that much better. Great interview.

My absolute favorite part about being an NBA fan is watching guys from the start of their NBA career and watching how they change and grow. Anfernee is a special kid, and seeing the whole NBA start to blitz him is validating, it's like yeah. Now watching him try to learn how to adjust to this is exciting, luckily he obviously learned a lot from Dame.

Not to be harsh but I don’t think Simons is a starter when they are actually a playoff team again his defense is nonexistent and his stats seem empty he seems suited to be a 6th man on any actual good team

This might be my favorite episode so far and I’ve watched A LOT of em. Being born and raised in Portland might give me some biased feelings, but still. The reminiscence, meaning of supportive vets and Dame appreciation are all itches I’ve been waiting for this show to scratch.

i think the hardest call for the refs foul rule should be amended to specify that if the defensive player is running towards or closing out on the offensive player and bumps him, its a foul. But if the offensive player initiates the contact or the defender is moving backwards or laterally, it isn't a foul

The Quickley foul on Cam Reddish was one of the worst travesties. Marcus Smart got called for embellishing the same day as Cam doesn't. Quickley couldn't change his movement to the bucket, and Cam was moving backwards and across Quickley when the contact occurred. There was no intent, and yet he still gets tossed. Very poor refereeing call.
