That will never happen, though some should birdy song, shut uppa your, aga do face I am looking at you. Enjoy it but don't let it stop you enjoying modern music either because this was modern music when it was released and was criticised as not being as good as what came before it. Aneka was criticised by some of her fans at the time as she had earned a name as a folk singer and the considered her a sell out for doing this. Is this sounding familiar? I was obsessed with this song when I was 7 I even had a lip sync routine to it, I still like it.

I stumbled into a pile of 45 RPMs of daddy's that were in the dungeon (I was born when that singer's career was long over). I found this curious song that he listened to when he was 16 back in 1981. This Aneka, I learnt, born Mary Sandeman, is a Scottish folk singer briefly turned into pop vocalist. She dropped music in the midst 90s to become a tourist guide in Stirling, Scotland.

In many countries back then you were supposed to sit quietly during musical performances the same as you would at the cinema or theatre. It wasn't until the late 1980s here in Ukraine that you start to see the crowds go crazy. It's not that they don't like the music, it was just a different social standard the same way you wouldn't clap or make noise in the middle of a movie you like today.

This is a very catchy tune.
Where is Aneka now. In 1980s those songs were our love. And we studied too. I am 61 and retired. I love you Aneka for this song
My boyfriend recommended this recording after hearing it in a movie just now. Such a cute, upbeat tune! I surely miss that decade and happy it was the decade that opened my young adult years.

@@Exodianecross1978 sorry for the late reply. i just read the response now. i dont know if it's a japanese sound but it sounds oriental which is good enough for me! but most importantly, is the LYRICS which i love & dont understand why it wasnt a hit here. she sings about a japanese boy, my japanese boy was gone, and i miss my japanese boy which really moves my HEART!i wonder what made her say that, was she dating a japanese boy and then got separated? this song really moved my heart and i've become a fan of this song as well as Aneka. i'll probably be returning to this youtube site and listen to this song often!

This video is particularly good because of the decent resolution. It really let's you see just how stunningly beautiful this lady was.
Great song. Part of the legendary GTA: Vice City soundtrack. As far as this video is concerned, wouldn't it make more sense to have her on an elevated stage with the audience dancing instead of just sitting around looking like "would someone invent a smartphone already?"

This song is just so cleverly sung by this lovely lady . .
Insanely good even today
I stumbled into a pile of 45 RPMs of daddy's that were in the dungeon (I was born when that singer's career was long over). I found this curious song that he listened to when he was 16 back in 1981. This Aneka, I learnt, born Mary Sandeman, is a Scottish folk singer briefly turned into pop vocalist. She dropped music in the midst 90s to become a tourist guide in Stirling, Scotland.
