4/7/1999. D&M talk with Andy about how he gave the Osmonds their big break. They sing "The Way We Were" & "Moon River".

I was blessed to be involved in video production with Mr. Williams when he had his theatre in Branson. Andy was the real deal and always a consummate gentleman to all of us even when we weren't recording. He treated each and every person with the utmost respect and dignity no mater what your role was. His music and talent will be timeless but I will always remember how important he made my grandmother feel once when she visited. His grace and his kindness will be sorely missed.

At the end of my lovely Mum's funeral, we played Andy Williams singing "May Each Day" (the song he always closed his show with). The words reflected what my lovely Mum would have wished for us all. The vicar was very moved by the song as was everyone at the church. It was a very comforting moment but it still brings a tear to my eye when I hear it played. Andy Williams had a wonderful voice and it's a shame we don't hear his records on the radio so much any more. The same with lovely Donny, Marie and their amazing brothers. Wonderful singers and musicians who aren't heard enough of any more. Bring back the Osmonds! 👏👏 👏👏 👏 Bring back the Osmonds! 👏👏 👏👏 👏 Thank you for sharing this lovely video. x

Andy had a gorgeous smile too! ❤ I had the good fortune of briefly interviewing him at the Andy Williams Golf Tournament in San Diego, back in 1977. However, poor Andy had the worst cold ever, and yet he came down to greet some of his fans, and some of the press. He was so charming, so wonderful and good-looking, and so apologetic for his cold, telling us not to stand too close to him. So he answered a couple of questions for me, but he had a fever and had to go back up. It was wonderful meeting him - basically the same person we watched on TV, no airs at all. Just a darling man with a lovely, soothing voice that will always be remembered. ❤
