During much of 2000, Andy Williams stepped away from singing (and also speaking, at first) as part of his successful treatment to eliminate a node on his vocal cords. He hired other acts to cover the spring and summer seasons at his Moon River Theatre in Branson, MO, but he occasionally gave interviews, including this lighthearted one with Paul Konrad for Chicago's WGN-TV, which included Andy's wife, Debbie, on the golf course. Also featured is American figure skater Nancy Kerrigan, who filled in for Andy with a skating show in May 2000. (WGN Morning News, 05-15-2000)
