I have known Andy since he was a kid, our sons grew up together and I have watched him grow up from a skinny kid to The Navy’s finest. our sons played baseball together and Andy was the catcher on the SantaCruz Cardinals and very unassuming, what a fine young man he has turned out to be. That man has brass balls and they clink in storming weather, love me some Andy Stumpf.

@@lookingdown8290 It's an inside joke at Black Rifle. Evan, Mike and Andy have joked about it many times. 😀
Why does Andy seem like the most trustworthy speaker of anything he tells us out of all the other SEALS? Clear, informative, no bs.

What in gods creation made you say this lmao Andy how do you have people on the web saying things like this. The most trustworthy lmao. He’s intelligent. I’ll give him that. Parallel the truth. A lotta self humiliation. but he def dodges areas that he knows are troublesome. We call it being PC. Usually by using those things. I mentioned. The most honest I’ve seen him is mentioning the discrepancy of who killed bin Laden. Andy, this is an organization you worked for and had no issues with during your time? as a keyboard warrior I’m just gonna say anyone who comes from a tier one organization and has nothing negative to say, ( during his time) by definition cannot be the most trustworthy person on said topic. Sure he will be a critic of the community but somehow all was well during his years. Easy cop out to not get a knock at your door.

Also let me also say until he addresses how the navy continues to insult our intelligence by having all numbers of teams except seal team 9 I don’t trust him. Bc I know he’s heard and seen things. every time I see 3 groups of 3’s of anything I say mmm there’s seal team 9 working as deer. Or birds. Very covert.

Yeah I like Andy as well. But keep in mind that the real humble guys will never show their face on the internet and talk about themselves.. So there are levels of humble...

@@jirihutecka9020 Actually, for the folks that "talk" even though they are sworn to secrecy, it helps with their PTSG. Andy is a great guy, extremely level headed. Have never heard him "beat his chest".....he just goes by experience
Andy's interviews are always good because he comes off as approachable, humble, and articulate without any of the fluff
Andy is an absolute legend and inspiration for anyone willing to listen to his words. Thank you both 🇺🇸✌🏻🫶🏻

Andy is such a rare voice from these communities that stays grounded and cuts out so much of the BS. He has thankfully not bought into the hype machine in these communities. Rare gem from that world.

NO, he's actually not. He's known as a cock-bag in the teams and the command. Just ask him, he'll admit it.

0351 Vietnam Era Marine here. Great interview about life as a military man. Andy got his commission because he earned and deserved it. The people under him were fortunate to have him.
Andy, I went through NSWG-1 Scout Sniper in the summer/fall of 1998. I was an Army Ranger and we were the first team from the Army to pass. The top 5 shooters were within 2 percentage points and I ended up being Top Marksman. Great course! Senior Chief Crampton was the man in charge, great warrior! I have attended SOTIC and Fort Benning sniper courses and the Navy COI was absolute best at that time by a long shot, no pun intended. Coalinga was a grind but had a great couple bars! Pig hunting was great to! Anyway, just couldn’t resist commenting, never do, this is a first!

Thank you !!! To hear a hero like Andy talk about how hard his divorce was for the impact of his life is something that more men need to hear. I was married for 6 years through my army career and got divorced and thought I was dead inside. I felt weak and a failure of a man. Thank you Andy for being so open and honest with your struggle.

I really enjoyed this. Andy always downplays his career and I appreciate the humility and often self deprecating humor 😅. But I think this was the first time he has detailed his career like this. Mike softening Andy up on writing that book😅

Ddduuuudddeee!!! Minute 34:00 - I and several of my siblings have it too! I resist all pain drugs, approximately 50% of all antibiotics do not even work on me at all, and I’m fully anaphylactic allergic to codeine, but just the real actual codeine. The synthetics like dilaudid, oxy, hydro…. Those are all ok but they work about 1/4 as effectively on me as a regular person. It’s very frustrating when you have an ER visit that involves getting pain meds.
This dude is a lot sharper than most of the degree holding people i know.
Andy Stumpt was a tier 1 operator. Enough said, he's the man.
Fantastic interview, Thanks

Completely appreciate this interview and the time you all spent with your lives on the line for our freedoms. God Bless You!
Andy always does well in these long form interviews. He brings a certain calmness to the chaos and always speaks to only what he knows. #LLTB
Enjoyed this interview immensely. Always love to hear Andy speak.❤

His military, experience. Love these guys.
This was great. Andy is very articulate and thoughtful. Thanks.
That was exceptional...thank you for putting this together...Mr. Stumpf is a riot....
Outstanding show. Solid thinking at every turn. 💪🏼
Watching you guys reminds me of the few conversations I was Party to when listening to my dad talk with his WW2 Seabee contemporaries who all served in the Solomons, New Hebrides and New Guinea. The comradarie and immediate understanding was palpable.
you two are a team. Great discussion
You two are the epitome of entertainment.

The two most down to earth and interesting SOF guys on YT.
Very few channels where I'm tapping the thumbs-up as I'm hearing the intro music. It's the confidence I have in any video where Mike is interviewing someone or Mike is being interviewed.

You should listen to Kevin Owens (Irish Army Ranger/US Green Beret) story about sniper school. He took a radio, found the instructors channel and pinged all the targets as soon as they gave the command to pop them. That's what separates the elite from the regulars I guess
Thank you
Always love a good Stumpf episode of anything.
Really enjoyable conversation. I'm not a big podcast guy so Cleared Hot hasn't sucked me in enough, but this was great.
This man ROCKS, great conversation 😎
Awesome podcast!!
You two are genuinely my favorite operators that have become influencers.
Andy is that dude. Humble yet quietly flexing 😂
These two guys are so awesome. Not to mention bad ass Americans !! Thanks boys. Enjoyed this show
Smooth move, Andy. Thanks a lot.
Andy doesn't seem to speak very much about his career path in the Navy, and I'm grateful to him and to you, Mike, for giving us the opportunity to learn more about it. You two are great examples of manhood and I hope many young parents watch, listen, and pay attention to both of you. Thank you, as you both continue to serve the greater community.
Saw that same crappy video in boot camp on VHS. I wish we had snipers other than team guys in the Navy. Many times we needed one, but couldn’t get one. Great interview!
Incredible story!

Five Fucking Stars. Great to hear a couple friends talk about their lives. You guys should do more of it! Nice work.

This convo is freaking hilarious.
Super! Very admirable, cool dudes.
Such an amazing human being!
As a twenty-four year LDO, I found this to be one of the most interesting discussions I’ve heard on KZread. First time listener and sub. Thanks for a great session.
Guns Up! I always loved the sound of the M-60 too.
Andy is the man
I knew nothing and now I feel like I understand a lot regarding life in the military from someone who has done it all. Such a life and to think this is what he always wanted. Thanks guys that was phenomenal.
