Not only Andy, but Hanoi Rocks taught those 80's Sunset Strip glam metal bands how to rock and dress up, including Mötley Crue.. Never wondered why Mötley began to wear pink pants,more make-up,scrafs etc.. they got it from Hanoi Rocks,like all american acts in mid 80's..

yes, your right...i've read Hanoi Rocks biography..and what comes to Hanoi Rocks style,yeah they took influence from T-rex & Marc Bolan and New York Dolls, they've said that in many interviews...But that glam thing was sort of dying in early 80's, then Hanoi started a new wave of glam. It became a popular style again.. especially in L.A.. Michael has said that all members were individuals and dressed up like they're always dressed up..they used make-up when they were 15 .. but yeah..good point

also, if you've read sixx's heroin stories, Andy McCoy was the reason he got introduced to heroin.

Yes, I've read about it. Thunders was, by the way, very influential musically (leaving the life style aside) to be such a "simple" guitarist. You can hear him echoing in the Sex Pistols e.g. Steve Jones has admitted to "theft" - "I took it all from Johnny".

But when Hanoi came to LA, Motley Crüe was already a fact - and a hit! The two bands may have liked each other's music; Hanoi though, never had to give Motley any tutorials. The glam-sleaze thing aside: Hanoi Rocks and Motley Crüe don't sound anything near one another. It is time to end this discussion - please use your ears! This song, to get to the point, is one of the coolest pieces in the history of R&R; God bless that Finnish gypsy!

Yeah, Yaffa is I've understood. A bit ironic that he missed the H. Rocks by an inch (or what?) and landed in the Dolls just as the Rocks were due for a comeback! - do i get it right? H.R. is (or "was") by far a more vital band (towards the end) than the rescent Dolls as they've written an ocational good song lately, or what do you say?

Really what's the point of the Motley comparisons? Leaving personal issues and feuds behind, this sounds completely different from Motely as it should. Personally, I like this better, even though that's just a matter of taste ;)
