Griffey Jr Prime was The Best But Andru was 10 Stright Gold Gloves in CF YEESH I know they weren’t anywhere near as good at Defensive ratings back then but Jones You could clearly see the ground he could cover and the plays he made look easy that otherwise would have been a hit and He didn’t usually have to show it off because of 2nd to none Defensive positioning Andru was already where the ball was gonna be hit when it was in the OF air

agree that he was the best...he was so smooth.

As a kid, I LOVED watching him play ball Him and Edgar Renteria were my favorites

That homer off Randy was basically above his head.

Should be a Hall of Famer. My personal favorite player ever

Finally my favorite Atlanta Braves player ever gets his number retired Congratulations

One of the greatest braves ever. Him and chipper jones was a fix in the line up. Franchise players.

I used to Love watching The Braves on TBS & Cubs on WGN , Especially when The REDS would play them & on so many day games since they’re division rivals they played a lot and that was My best way to see My Reds as a Vegas kid , getting to see REDS on WGN & tbs I Can remember when those were the only weekday games Was on those 2 networks Then ESPN started doing some MNB then WNB and now You can catch every game if you want to But it wasn’t like that in 89 , 90 , 91, 92 , 93 , 94 & then 95 after the strike is when you started seeing more options when they returned to play Maybe a little bit in 94 you started to get some of those ESPN games during the week but it was usually SNB

Joe Garagiola. Called Mantle, Mays, Aaron, AND Andruw! Wow! It was nice to hear his voice when he homered off the Big Unit.

Still my all time favorite

A much more valuable player than Harold Baines (Not meant as a put-down of Jones ) 😄 WAR evaluates him as an extraordinary defensive center fielder.

I met Andru* ( auto correct 🤨) and He’s maybe the coolest famous person I’ve met. No BS He’s a Real Dude Gave My cousin & I autos that I still have. Love it He talked with Us for about 20min. Super just regular Dude but in A Great Way I have much Respect for that Man Coming up a stud since A teenager and He’s still the most legit

He also played in Japan with Tanaka.

Congratulations. He was special, and his defense in CF was rivaled only by Griffey.

@@bmdecker93 defensively? He was great but Jones was THE best for a full decade. Maybe saying he doesn't compare is to much but Jones was clearly better in center is all I'm saying.

Griffey was a way better all around player, but defensively, he was no equal to Andruw. That's not even disputable. Go Google best defensive outfielder ever and take your pick of stats or takes. You won't find anything that puts Griffey in his league.
