Question. Once you have learn a steering wheel control, is it possible to use that button from the navigation and it will act as it has been pressed? I'm asking because the original radio unit has some functions that are specific to it and I wonder if I can still use it after replacing it.

Whether you use the steering wheel control button or the original button, the function is the same. It's a parallel function, not a replacement for the original key.

Hello Jayson Sun, I wanted to know about that exact model remote that you are using. How long has it lasted you so far without changing batteries and are you actually able to change the battery yourself? Thank you.

I’ve owned the same exact steering wheel control button module that is used in this video and have had good luck with it. Bought it on eBay about 2-3 years ago (2019) and it’s still working fine. Battery life is fine and haven’t had to replace it yet. It feels cheap, but works perfectly for paying so little and doing what I need it to do

I have same steering wheel controls as you show on Pumpkin PX30 head unit with two handsets for L and R. One control works fine and can be mapped, other handset not recognised at all. Have checked all wiring and even changed CR2032 battery in handset. Any idea why one handset works and other doesn't? Maybe handset defective, but any way to reset or check receiver . Removiong from power and reconnecting doesn't help. Ideas? Thx.

I have Pioneer DMH-A340DAB and don't have in menu an option for Steering Wheel control ( in settings ) . The unit have a 3.5" jack SWC and i have the cable with Key 1 and Key 2 and Ground. Do you believe if i conect ONLY the wires ( Key 1 , Key 2 , Ground , 12V ) will work ?

hello, i recently acquired a chinese multimedia via Aliexpress branded Hoxiao 4g Ram and 32g Rom (the newest) to install on Renault Fluence Gtline.the non-media interface didn't work. I put a Faaftech interface and then I managed to configure and save the steering wheel sound command settings. But right after saving the configuration I enter the radio and/or music via USB, I can't change the volume, track and change any option saved during the configuration. The question is, is there anything else to be done to be able to operate the controls on the steering wheel? Thank you in advance if anyone knows about it.

Hello, asked the remote and the cable installation was correct but there were 2 buttons next and mute didn't work, did you install the wrong cable on the line or the remote module had a problem with the 4 buttons running smoothly, the phone +, -, back but next and mute didn't work

Learning worked fine for me for short press. Is there also an option for long press of the sw controls to get a 2nd function, similar I was used to at a Pumpkin head unit?

Hi jayson, I had a guy wire my cable up for a Nissan JUKE the unit turns OK but the steering wheel controls just keep saying setup failed, he said the wire Key 1 and 2 might need swapping around (he said they are the steering wires) i swapped them but still setup failed any idea

@@eddyboh2723 That's the remote receiver. This is an analog car receiver. You have a real receiver in your car. It's on the steering wheel.

For my car Subaru Legacy 2005 R3.0 was little bit hard to find car wires for connecting to Steering wheel buttons, but just got it done. If you know where to find them, then connection is easy.
