@ShivaTheDestoyer this just reminds me of "if everyone's jumping off the bridge are you jumping too?" like you end up hearing these inappropriate phrases during your life and in some unfortunate cases you end up hearing them A LOT and so it exists(at least a little) in your brain whether you agree with it or not and someday you end up repeating it because it's just up in there or it seems to maybe? "fit" the topic or situation even tho... so is it really his "fault" that he heard x,y,z? during his lifetime? what should matter is a person's actions after they make a mistake!!...do they keep on making the mistake/do they double down or refuse to admit they were wrong/do they ask for forgiveness/forgive themselves/change their behavior/learn from the mistake/let others forgive them...that's what should really matter...i think the entire "cancel culture mob" completely forgot about forgiveness/the importance of forgiveness but we should forgive them for that(as soon as they start learning from their mistake and changing their behavior).... we need to start realizing we have less(most likely zero) control over our behavior and be more forgiving...the stress/harm caused from holding grudges or never being able to forgive oneself or forgive others is extremely terrible for human health...heart disease is the NUMBER ONE cause of death worldwide...ya not opioids not the c virus...heart disease!! and stress is major contributor to heart disease...our number one cause of death...sure humans get angry and want revenge but this cannot be the end all be all of our behavior we have to learn more about all our emotions because the only way that we can do better is to actually learn about them! that is the only way we can really gain some control over them...they don't call it "anger elimination" they call it "anger management" is a great example of what people don't realize they misunderstand...

Instead of canceling a HUMAN BEING, he takes a closer look at Shane and finds there's good hearted, no malice intended, comedian, who in joking around for hundreds of hours with his best friend, on line, accidentally said something that upon further reflection, might be insensitive. Thank you Andrew Yang for holding this person to a human standard, instead of a Chrst like standard. You've got my vote, if you run again!

the only way people, this country, the entire world, can grow is by actually communicating with each other. its not easy, ive been trying to work on it myself. i often find myself just clapping back in the same passive aggressive way people occasionally approach me with in a disagreement. what does that actually accomplish? nothing. why is it so hard for us to be honest about ourselves and to other people. like how hard is it to just say, "Hey, this made us/me feel bad". and give someone the time to respond? maybe they meant to hurt you. but you may find that they didn't even realize what they did, or are dealing with some heavy stuff; and are sorry, and willing to make an effort to learn from it and GROW. it makes both parties grow. i just don't get it. Everything has become way too fast paced to the point of being instant. and i guess thats the main problem. the internet should be such a beautiful thing. something that should be making us grow exponentially, but its the exact opposite. the thing that has potential to unite people in ways never before seen is the thing that is destroying us. and its not even our fault for the most part, it feels generated by someone or something. it makes me really sad. but we live in this weird passive aggressive society where no one is allowed to make mistakes and instead of learning from them, we waste the oppourtunity. we need to stop looking at mistakes with such a negative connotation. the definition of the word seemingly has changed.

It’s cool to see younger comics mention Patrice. It shows how much of an impact he had on the comedy community. I remember exactly where I was when Patrice died. I was working out in my bedroom at my parent’s house and my sister came in and said, “Patrice O’Neal died.” We talked for a couple minutes and she left the room. Then I cried quietly with my head on the floor. It was like hearing a friend died. I’ve never felt that way about someone I’ve never met. I still regularly listen to his appearances on O&A. This is why Shane Gillis is great. He hit the nail on the head. He is authentic. Extremely self aware and insightful and I think people may miss that his humour is funny to him as well because he knows how hilarious and provocative his comments are and he gets a kick out of being subtley sarcastic with alot of his views to get a reaction. It's almost like a form of sarcasm but he will double down everytime. Which makes him hilarious. He is that guy that is simultaneously pushing buttons but is also bullshitting you at the same time to see how far he can get you to believe what he's saying to see your reaction. Very intelligent guy behind the image of a non chalant "bully" style of humour. Which is why Trump is hilarious btw. We as a culture love bully humour for the sake of laughter. But the PC culture has almost destroyed it. So as long as Shane Gillis doesn't change and doubles down then he can't be cancelled and I'm spreading his name to everyone I know.

Great interview & conversation, Andrew. I was already a fan, and this made it more so. Refreshing to see another independent platform for the exchange of ideas, and a source for both information & news that hasn’t been run through & edited by mainstream media companies. This is the type of content that fits into the much needed “rational revolution”, aimed at bringing some sanity, and a sense of normalcy back into our world. I borrowed the idea from a conversation that was had on Dr Drew’s After Dark podcast, with comedian Christina P, as they were discussing the fact that people living in the US have seemingly lost their minds, especially in regards to the fallout from C one-nine protocols, and from the divisive nature that is US politics in the last 10yrs, or so. Liked, and subbed to your channel.
