Andrew Weatherall | In Conversation (Uncut) | Sydney Opera House

Ойын-сауық

In February 2020, the music world lost one of its true innovators, Andrew Weatherall.
Weatherall made his first and only appearance at the Sydney Opera House in December 2017 with an unforgettable five-hour Studio party, taking the audience on an eclectic journey through the history of electronic music and beyond.
In this newly released, uncut version of his interview with Ben Marshall, Sydney Opera House’s Head of Contemporary Music, Weatherall is in full raconteur mode, talking about the ritual of clubbing, the joy of music discovery and the importance of dressing for the occasion.

@@rlf576it’s a black void on our music scene that will never be filled, but his legacy will always live on.. and by all of us listening to his music and his warm and funny interviews… then he will live on forever… I’m still not over his passing… but I’m more accepting of it now… Andrew Weatherall and Digweed were and are my biggest heroes…

The thing about Andrew is that you're suspended into watching his face and lovely language and delving through the comments section to see that he is being as fantastically received as you are. Then re-watching to see that he makes you do it again.

Such a genuine natural geezer, more interesting than any rock star, sports star, politician etc etc .... what a privilege for the interviewer to have interviewed "Lord Sabre" , I wonder if at the time he realized this at the time....Great interview 🙏

I would love to agree with you, but most of his charm was his humour and knowledge as well as his musical knowledge. An all round brilliant geezer.

Who would have known his departure would be so soon after this interview. He still had so much passion and ability. And the interviewer is smart enough and patient enough to ask the right questions and let Andrew speak. RIP Andrew. A huge inspiration and I was blessed to meet him a few times and he was VERY funny!

I loved that I lived my youth during a period of time where youth culture felt like it had positive collective power. Was so important in forming self esteem and championing creativity. I think today's young people haven't been allowed creative play. All creativity and confidence comes from play and curiosity. Those are the ingredients that artists don't loose as the get older.

I went into a 2nd hand shop, in Soho, London. I found several early releases from Dave Angel, amongst others. Took the sleeves to the counter, "They were Andrew's," the guy tells me I inspect the vinyl and on some of the older records there is masking tape with BPMs and observations about tracks. I double checked with the guy, Andrew had indeed been in the shop, quite recent to the time

Dave Horn ~ Yeah, i Loved Andrew Weatherall, Especially back in the 1990’s his music & Brilliant Party’s were some of the best I’ve ever been to. SHOOM & SHAVE YER TONGUE We’re two of the best. But sometimes i Wonder iF he got off at the right stop. i think that it’s very important that the public gets both sides of the debate and the other side of the propaganda. Please check out these two very important videos = 1 - “A Film That KILLED it’s Own Film Maker : David Crowley,,, Gray State” By Steve Kanterakis Followed by the amazing short video footage called = 2 - “The Vortex - Arrest Bill Gates” By Church Militant David Crowley was murdered because he was trying to warn us about what is happening right now ! We all must do our best to spread the Truth and wake our people up from a very deep sleep. So if you can, Please share it with as many people as possible before it gets Removed & Banned from KZread. The Censorship Continues but OUR WEAPON IS TRUTH ! The Truth Will Always Leak, No Matter What they Do. This Thing has been planned years ago. it’s well documented in the amazing documentary footage called = “PLANDEMIC!” Full Movie Removed and Banned from KZread, However you can still find it on Bitchute. it’s one of the most important & fascinating documentary’s to come out this decade and should be shown in our schools and colleges worldwide. God Bless (Bitchute) Andrew Weatherall R.i.P

I could listen to Andrew for hours… he had such an amazing aura around him, his sense of humour was wicked. Just an absolute dude… when I pop my clogs… I’m gonna bring Sea Shanties with me and my music collection… and I’m going to make a beeline to Andrew, roll up a fat doob and chill with him… that’s what I’m gonna do.
