Taxes are pretty easy to manipulate/game. I care that businesses do that, but unless we close the various loopholes, law enforcement or civil courts can't touch them. Note that countries are at least trying to address this (look up global minimum tax). If these guys were too lazy to even do it in the normal sleazy way and just straight up didn't pay, that's on them.

On the one hand, it's a huge deal. It essentially means that people with fewer resources pay more than they should, people with tons of wealth pay less, and we all suffer. "Everyone else was doing it" doesn't make it right. On one level though, you have a point. Most rich people avoid paying taxes, these guys just (allegedly) did a bad job at it. You're supposed to hire fancy accountants to do your shady tax evasion successfully. These guys apparently decided to skip that mess and just not pay. If they've got the money, they can probably just pay their back taxes.

It is still human trafficking and rapes. And in Romania, it has been all along also the tax evasion and money laundry. The investigation of the latter two is still ongoing. See the indictment. If other countries have been slow to react, it does not mean that any of the charges have been or are trumped up fake charges. .

"I keep my money in crypto. I don't pay taxes." As US citizens, Tates are obliged to pay also federal income tax. Devon and Cornwall police froze 7 of Tates' bank accounts to collect $3.5 millions towards unpaid taxes. (Court of Appeals, file number 37100/3/2022) Yet, according to the indictment he deposited $10 millions, out of which $5 millions with reference "rev OnlyFans". Thirdly, his 7 bank accounts in the UK have been frozen because Devon and Cornwall police wants to collect all the money ($3.5 millions) from those accounts towards unpaid taxes, on the income of $26 millions for his UK enterprises between 2014 and now. Bank statements prove that he has received those amounts. It is Andrew's duty to prove that he has paid taxes, if he has done so.

Well, step by step those are getting closed down. First in Romania, now in the UK. The more bank accounts they have, the harder it gets for them when the IRS will go after them. As US citizens, they are obliged to report all their bank accounts, and pay federal income tax to the US, regardless of their residency.

Firstly, the tax evasion has continued until now. It did not happen only when Tates lived in the UK. On top of that they should have paid also US federal income tax. Secondly, as of now it is only a civil case. But we can not exclude the possibility that later they will be prosecuted also for money laundering.

Can you explain why police started investigation months before Andrew converted? Andrew converted to Christianity only when he moved to Romania. It was beneficial for him to be a Christian. When the police investigation progressed, and Andrew knew that he has to leave Romania (just like his partners, Dorothei mafia brothers, who fled Romania) Andrew handily announced that he has found Islam and will move to Dubai. Converting would benefit him, and open new markets. You are giving Islam bad name by creating unsubstantiated oppression stories.

Andrew became muslim only when he knew that he must escape from Romania, at much later stage. In 2016, Andrew had to escape from the UK because police was investigsting him for rapes. At that time, he turned to Christianity. Did you think that police were investigating him because he became a Christian? Police investigate crimes and try to find evidence. Which they did. It has nothing to do with one's religion.
