This was a hard watch for me, being a rape victim. I was raped when I was 10 by my moms boyfriend, but I didn't tell anyone until after he died. He told me that he would hurt me and my family if I told anyone. I felt so powerless because I was small, insecure, and was already struggling with my mental health. How can you fight someone when they threaten to hurt you? How are you supposed to react? The victims are incredibly brave, I know how hard it is to talk about how much you trusted someone only for them to hurt you. I don't understand why does anyone who is not a kid follow Andrew Tate. There are 10s of thousands of motivational speakers on youtube, some of them have definitely masculine vibe without being a rapist. Most of his followers are teens and kids though because only they think Tate is saying something new and giving never been heard of life advice. But if you're an adult, this is very basic, any other motivational guru speaks the same (except the misogyny). Why do people give him a pass that they wouldn't if it was a random guy they have never heard of? Like, if someone is a rapist and a human trafficker, I don't care that they had some positive life advice to give. Every serial killer and rapist has some positive philosophy sprinkled in here and there.

He ended up coercing me into having sex with him even though I didn’t want to have sex. He didn’t talk to me for months the only time he ever reached out to me was to ask for nudes. I never went to law enforcement because it’s such a gray area on wether or not it was sexual assault. That was 7 years ago and I still think about to this day. The part where Amelia shares that she struggled with even using “the R word” to refer to what happened to her, as it would “negatively define her”, that” if this R word happened to her, then that is what she is”, hit so close to home for me I started crying. I was struggling with my own SA that happened to me a few months ago and only recently coming to terms with. and i was in denial, until it ate away at me night after night and I finally brought it up to my friends that something uncomfortable happened to me. At first I didn’t even think of it as anything close to assault, this is someone I was seeing for 5+ months, until I told my friends in detail what happened and how mortified I felt in the moment, and they told me that what I experienced was r*pe. I have made it my New Years resolution to find justice and retribution for myself. I have already confronted him about it and blocked him, not letting him renter my life, so that I have the last words and so I can move on with my life. I hope Amelia gets the support and healing she needs and deserves, that we all deserve. My friend who also experienced SA from a intimate partner told me “justice is ideal, but rarely do people find justice, and sometimes feeling safe is more important than seeking justice.”

Thank you for helping to educate people about this, Hasan 🙏 Many of us were raped by our intimate partners. It sometimes takes several years just to get out of the relationship, never mind go to the police, who are mostly men, many of whom strangely feel attacked by #MeToo. Not to mention we often feel protective of our ex-partners, even when they've been abusive. Being raped by your intimate partner means being raped by the one man who's supposed to have your back more than anyone on earth. It's an insane level of betrayal, and it's difficult to acknowledge.

I was assaulted in high school by a classmate (by way of coercion) and I also did the thing were I later had consensual sex with my assaulter. I did it to make it feel like I was taking control back, and it wasn’t until way later that I realized that what happened to me was wrong, and I was trying to soothe myself. I could never even think about coming out publicly, So for these women to have the courage to come forward and be shut down by police it is such a hideous injustice.

So I would put him more in the classification of something Like NPD or sociopath, or borderline personality disorder. bipolar deals with emotional mood swings, mania and depressive episodes. They can hurt people, but not all bipolar hurt others, and they can feel sorry and empathy about it. But other disorders lack empathy. This is more like him. He doesn't have empathy. He has delusions as well. So I would put him in a different category if I could Dx, which i can't, but if I could I would. He's sort of a psychopath. I would not put anything past him. I would want to look at more of his behaviors though. narc, sociopath, or psychopath. But something is really wrong with him.

Im from the uk. I’m not going to lie I started hysterically crying after this segment. I had the option to try to make a case against someone who sexually assaulted me when I was underage and they were in a position of authority. I was in a really bad headspace and didn’t want to go through that and he had been fired… I always thought about what would have happened if I tried to prosecute and if it would have gotten him in jail. I know now I did the best thing for myself - he wouldn’t have gone to jail I just would have outted my situation to everyone in my school for them to gawk and make fun of me or not believe me. At the end of the day I wouldn’t have moved on and tried to live my life. If I had gathered that courage and tried to prosecute and the police fucked everything up and it had fallen through I know 100% I would have killed myself I was in that bad a place. I feel so sorry for these women because it’s so difficult to get away from Andrew tate he’s literally every fucking where on social media. I once saw my abuser and had a full on panic attack and thought he was going to kill me, can’t imagine seeing him on social media every place I turn. You know it’s not just the police it’s everywhere, the school found out (obviously cos he got fired) and the headteacher basically started following me around and told me at one point to not tell my friends because ‘I’d ruin their graduation, wouldn’t I?’ Sometimes that bothers me more than what actually happened.

Please seek help from a friend or loved one for support and or legal support. If you don’t think you’re strong enough, remember that YOU ARE because you survived the “worst of it”. So many boys at my college feel like they’ve reclaimed their sense of authority in the form of misogyny and acceptance of violence towards women just because of what Tate has said and it’s terrifying, since he’s just amplifying the already existing social conditioning that exists in young boys, he’s only making it seems more acceptable, essentially telling them “Does your same-age 14 year old gf not listen to you when you want to fuck her? Well guess what fuck female bodily autonomy, sharing is caring boys!”

Okay, long comment: Thank you, Hasan, for your rage. I’ve had a *solid history of being sexually assaulted and it heartens me to see how intensely you go offense for us (even though it should be normal.) Words cannot express how horrified I am for the victim in this article. Imagine, after four years of waiting, two other credible victims, with an insane, blatant amount of evidence, the police call you in for an IN PERSON meeting just to tell you they’re NOT prosecuting. Absolutely devastating. This was extremely painful to sit through. Two weeks ago I made it my mission to heart-to-heart de-convert ONE specific tater tot in a random comment section. Just ONE MemeLord420 teenager who I could try to relate to and empathize with. This was when he first got arrested, before a lot of the extreme, solid, obvious, “official” evidence came out. I asked him what Andrew Tate did for him personally: “I know the world and society are messed up and it’s hard to find role models you identify with and who make you feel seen, and who point out and demonize the thing you’re probably most insecure about. Remember the internet is a cesspool, try to be present in real daily life, and be gracious with yourself and others. Women love vulnerability and earnestness, and don’t like being dehumanized and then forced into a relationship with someone who sees all women as the same. You have to view and treat women on the individual level. Tate has so many issues and sees them in other young men and exploits them for money. What do you personally gain from supporting him?” He said he stood up for and united men who felt like non-traditional women still wanted them to be traditional men, reaping the financial/emotional benefits but getting to do whatever they want. “Men and women are each others property when they are in a relationship. You don’t know what it’s like to be swiped left by thousands of women.” He seemed somewhat reasonable so we went back and forth for a few days. I argued said traditional men want traditional women, that grouping all women together is not going to help his cause and men complain when women group all men together, and asked if he thought his mother was his father’s property: “you’re still grouping all women together. Do you have specific personal experience with this in your real life (outside the internet)? Cobra is intentionally driving a wedge between men and women to make men feel like they’re in control of women and the whole world. It’s so unhealthy. Think about the real women in your life. Parents, friends, family, etc. Would you group them into those groups or label them as property? There’s a difference between commitment and ownership. Trust me, women don’t think about the things that men and Andrew Tate are always talking about. Women just want a nice, funny, supportive partner that they can support in return. There are superficial women out there, but you can’t assume they all are. He’s making you demonizing the abstract concept of women, instead of thinking about real individuals and treating them with humanity. Men don’t like being judged that way either. You want to be seen as your own person who isn’t shoved into the same “men are trash” can with the shitty manipulative misogynistic men, yet that is exactly what Tate is doing to you” It fizzled after a while and he kept deleting his responses. Yesterday I went back and asked what he thought about the iron clad admissions and asked what Tate’s violence against women did for him and how it helps him personally, and he said: “if he gets convicted, he gets convicted. It honestly means nothing to me because the powers that be will manufacture whatever they need to in order to bring people down. Especially with deepfake/ai technology where you can type in a text prompt and generate an audio clip with anybody's voice they want, it means nothing.” What will it fucking take!?! Why would the system care about taking this one idiot man down so much if he was really innocent!? Do they think he’s Malcom X?? I try to be compassionate. I feel for young men, I really do. Why are women left to do the emotional labor, repairing, and educating when they are on the receiving end of the violence? When will more men like Hasan do the work and stand up as the role models they need? *clarified word choice, and I shouldn’t have to go into detail for teenage comment trolls who don’t know what they’re talking about (and said it’s a me problem that it has happened this much, that it’s my dads fault, etc) but it’s happened at various levels 7 times over the last 11 years. I’m 30. I’m also disabled (spina bifida, tethered cord syndrome, a million botched spinal cord surgeries, etc) and use a wheelchair which makes me an even bigger, more susceptible target.
