Both these gentlemen are very learned and most certainly giving it their all with this question- yet love cannot be explained through the mind. A small child smiling, without intellectual abstraction, knows what love is. Love IS, and that is all.

Dear Jacintha, I have to give a warning here. Andrew Cohen had to stop being a teacher \ guru because he was (psychological) violent against his pupils. So some can say the most beautiful things but not do it themselves. So be careful. Greetings from a sunny Holland.

I didn't listen to this talk, but it's interesting how people get so hot and bothered whenever a guru fucks up. It's true that Andrew left a trail of lost souls with his abuse and should hold himself accountable. Maybe he owes something to the students who devoted the deepest, most sacred part of themselves for many years. They made their spiritual aspirations revolve around him; lots of people here are making their spiritual cynicism revolve around him. It's not about Andrew or the other "gurus" who were abusive. It's about embracing the calling inside and seeing the potential we humans carry in our hearts. Trust THAT, not gurus, not belief systems. We should have learned by now what happens when people are put on pedestals or branded as monsters. Both are equally delusional!

_"Today, millions of people in America and Europe try to find contact with tradition and with teachers who can show them the way. But in large part the doctrines and teachers are either fraudulent, or vitiated by the spirit of public relations ballyhoo, or mixed up with the financial and prestige interests of the respective gurus. Some people may genuinely benefit from such methods in spite of the sham; others will apply them without any serious intention of inner change. But only a detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis of the new believers could show how many belong to each group"_ Fromm, Erich (2013-02-26). To Have or To Be? (Continuum Impacts) (pp. 75-76). Watch the first 8+ minutes. Notice the jumps and Ken's ring switching from finger to finger. This appears to be a single continuous talk by Ken...but it is not. It has been put together from at least two separate talks. So although Ken speaks all the words, he did not speak them in the order presented hear; and may not have intended the sense rendered here either.

Listening to Wilber is what derailed AC. Consciousness does not evolve. Andrew was ok back when he was hammering on people's egos like they were drums. He was a jerk with a hella weird laugh but hey he was easy to get. A drill instructor for Enlightenment boot camp is his niche I say. Grow back the mustache bigger and wear a military uniform, just embrace his jerky side. He can't hide it. Ditch the shtick of trying to transform the world by dispensing imaginary glittering generalizations. He's oozing contempt and robotically groping his way onto a platform. Maybe now that he's desperate the globalists will dig him. Macho man with the plan. He was the one of the first in a avalanche of brainwashed weirdos talking on stages with flowers, pretending to be enlightened. Then AC started chasing some fantasy- a bunch of cooked up crap. The evolution of consciousness- HA! Authentic teaching states consciousness never really changes. It is the forms which change. Just like the Phoenix form AC is changing into now.

With all due respect, the answer is convoluted and incorrect, nevertheless great considering the obvious lack of understanding when it comes to the foundational reality before time. Speculation and extrapolation is all that is available when depending upon the known empirical and theoretical facts. The truth is unknown in this world and can only be accessed and understood after accepting the reality of duality.

Cohen is just plain wrong . . . in not acknowledging personal forms of Love that are without attachment. This is the typically Buddhist bias that he and Wilber share.
