Hi, thanks for your nice comment! This rag is by Charley Thompson of St. Louis, who recorded it at least 3 times. It was never copyrighted or published in the original era, but Tom Brier later transcribed one of the recordings on commission by Adam Swanson in about 2008. My version is not exact to this transcription but more of a general take on the tune. The first theme was apparently from Conroy Casey, an unrecorded St Louis ragtime pianist who Scott Joplin reportedly liked to hear.
