Andrea Santamarina "Design, Art & Gastronomy"

Born in Madrid in 1980, Andrea
Santamarina is a Spanish designer and food art
historian specializing in Mediterranean artisanal
and artistic traditions, particularly ceramics. She
collaborates with artisans to preserve drawing
traditions and popular iconography in ceramics,
aiming to highlight the importance of historical
knowledge and cultural heritage. She holds a PhD in
Audiovisual Communication, a degree in Fine Arts
from the Complutense University of Madrid and
L’Accademia di Belle Arti in Bologna, and a Master’s
in Set Design from Central St. Martin’s College
of Art & Design in London. Her career spans art
direction in advertising, large-format installations,
museum interior design, and content development
for Radio Television Hong Kong. Santamarina
has exhibited internationally, including in Milan,
Brisbane, Istanbul, Paris, London, New York, and
various cities in Spain. Her work is represented
by galleries in Milan, Barcelona, and London. She
currently teaches at the Complutense University
of Madrid and is involved in several international
academic and creative programs.
