Wow, Andrea Motis playing in the iconic Montmartre, one of the sacred temples of Jazz. Only the very big ones can perform there. And Andrea already is. Talent, taste, technique, absolute command of the stage... this woman is a star, without a doubt. Also highlight the teacher Terraza at the piano, one of the best pianists in the current Jazz universe, his solo is masterful. The local musicians, Jesper and Martin, sensational, very high level.

Where'd that little girl go...barely a teenager singing Basin Stree Blues in Barcelona Spain so many years ago...She's a lady who now can sing Cole Porter with conviction and the soul of a true jazz diva today in Copenhagen ...and with Ignasi Terraza at the piano...well...all is well in my world...without a song, there ain't no love at all...

Her English is actually quite good, Catalan accent though. I saw her talking in another earlier video.

As others say here Andrea keeps improving. I believe she will continue to improve. I hear a little of Chet Baker in her playing on this number. Andrea I wish you all the best. Some of the best jazz keeps coming from Europe.

Is Andrea playing a new instrument? It has a warmer sound than her previous performances. But boy she’s getting to be so damn good! And Ignasi is as always such a superb performer. They’re all so good! I listen to this in my darkened room with my eyes closed - and I’m transported there, in the room.

Yes it is a new HAAG trumpet. The sound in the video is from the loudspeakers in the room recorded with the built in microphone in the camera. Not the best way to do it. facebook.com/groups/391119998374392/posts/1033955787424140

Damn! My favorite song!!! Not quite Ela but excellent nevertheless and Ela couldn't play the trumpet! Parts of the trumpet solo kill! I love this lady!

I think Portugese is in fact a better language for jazz; the sant andreu jazz band made me discover this...:)

Please ... here in the introduction something important has to be corrected ... since Andrea was born and proudly always lived in Barcelona ... Therefore write Andrea Motis (Trumpet/Vocal/CAT) (simply because Catalonia is not Spain !!)
