My husband and I never had a song, like some couples do. When he was diagnosed with terminal cancer I was grief stricken but determined to make his transition as easy as possible. One day he was wandering around the house and found himself humming a song that he couldn't identify, as he was raised in a different language/culture. I immediately recognized it as Love me Tender. It felt to both of us, like a gift from God. We intuitively felt this was meant to be 'our song', but an Elvis song?! Hmmm. It wasn't until we looked up the lyrics and saw the final verse that we understood why. As Twin Flames we knew our love would transcend lifetimes so the lyrics "I'll be yours through all the years 'till the end of time" were exactly right for us. He's been gone (and yet not gone) for almost 4 years and today is our 35th Wedding Anniversary. This is my favourite version of this song.
