There's more than one way to skin a cat. If the letter was an email, the first text to speech was invented in the 50s, but that was only to labs, however, technology progresses quite a bit in a few decades. If the letter was on paper...there are other people to read it for him. I fail to understand why you're putting so much into arguing with the original poster about how Andrea read the letter, but I'm willing to discuss it.

@Kate Attenboro i know you mean well, but that's a pretty cruel trade-off. My 11.5yo granddaughter is going blind, and every night she cries. She's doesn't want to go to sleep because sleep is dark, and she's terrified of the dark world she'll live in one day. i have no truly good answer for her when she asks me why she has to be blind. i'm not meaning to criticize your comment, i'm just sharing our experience.

Actually it is not a mistery because when one cant see, other senses are better and then it is logical that he has perfect ear and hearing and can exellent hear each good and wrong note.

"The highest expression of our culture" could be taken as "the highest expression of white culture" i.e. look at how superior our "white" culture is compared to other cultures.
