The first time I ever heard this was from Andrea. His interpretation and voice breaks my heart EVERY time. Makes me think of a lover I will never know but have dreamed of all my life. It also makes me long for family and friends who are gone... Pavarotti's rendition has a power that makes me think I can call the people I miss back from the grave. I did not disliked but I can't claim to like it although I like Andrea. Unfortunately, in this case, Andrea doesn't sound convincing. I really like the song itself, I know it from the very beginning. (Lucio RIP 😪). If we look at the ratio it is 29 "like" : 1 "dislike" (recalculated). The numbers speak for themselves. So unfortunately there isn’t any over-enthusiasm about this performance. 🤷‍♀️ And you can’t easily underestimate the opinion of such a proportion of listeners who have just expressed their (in my opinion) honest opinion with the phrase “failed to appreciate this”. I was born in Sicily. Every time I listen to this song I cry like a baby. I guess becouse I miss my Sicily. I have been living in USA for 50years. first introduced to this piece by Emanne Beasha's "Golden Buzzer" performance on AGT.....have to say I generally don't like male opera artists, but this performance is amazing.....cudos to the orchestra as well......who doesn't love Bocelli !

I discovered that I actually like opera when I discovered Andrea Bocelli. He's the best singer in the world and any song gets better when he sing it. I love all his music. I'm still blown away by his album "Cieli di Toscana" from 2001. I love sitting out a warm summer night with good view, listening to Bocelli for hours and zipping my napoleon brandy (or cognac).
