Tremelle Cook I don't hate him lmao I actually liked him and thought he was going to out box and beat kovalev like he did every one in the super six but that simply wasn't the case. I was a Ward fan but him talking about retiring and all this diva shit. I ain't with that.. Wards always been a diva he sued a promoter on his death bed bro. Would you do that? He's done a lot of shit I dislike lately. He's never been mayweather Roy jones Bernard Hopkins any of them. And you know he didn't win that fight and it wasn't close. The judges gave Ward round 10 when kovalev killed him in that round wake up man. Because the judges had Floyd and canelo a draw doesn't mean it was.

Devon Cooper he won 5 out of 6 in the first 6 plus a 10 8 knock down round which gives him 6 rounds already. Even you think kovalev only won 1 or 2 round from 6 to 12 that would give kovalev the fight. Kovalev was the champion and Ward simply didn't do enough to take the belt from the champion. At minimum there is no way you had the fight any lower then a draw it's impossible . Do you even understand that a knockdown round is a 10 8?

H1GHD3FF He came into the Nordstroms I worked at with his family and the cool thing was he wasn't looking for attention at all. He showed love to the fans who came up to him although a lot of us left him alone to enjoy the day with his family you can just tell by his demeanor he's a humble dude.

Smh They can't stand to see that brothas are still a dominant force and set a standard since the early 1900's. Every since that color line was broken, black boxers have broken in and it hasn't stopped. Now we've been seeing an influx of Eastern Europe fighters, so they tribalistically cling more towards them hoping they'll bring the good old days back lol. Plus, they hate how Ward dismantled one of their top Eastern Blocc boys 😂. Stay tuned though, Usyk is their next one to hype up. They're already saying he's a greater Cruiserweight than Holyfield, and will be the next Holy smh. I see that Lomachenko is the greatest talk stopped after Linares showed that he is an excellent boxer but he's not what they make him out to be.

I may not agree that he won against Kovalev, but I definitely respect Ward as a person. He truly feels he won against Kovalev and you can't hate on somebody who's being open and honest.

Ward is just a different human being. Really great to see a Champ like this. Most Champs spew money this money that but this guy right here was brought up and taught well. Much respect to him.

he seems like one of those guys that are so genuine if you meet him in person, it'll be almost impossible to dislike him. Whether you like his fighting style or not he seems like a cool person outside the ring

I’ve been training for a while now to get back in shape and been working on my inside game for 2 years just for the sake of mastering it. Sessions can be so “boring” but that money in the bank analogy was head on and exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you Mr Ward

Andre Ward is so legit. I hate that he didn't get the respect he deserves from the fans and media. Dre is a gift that only comes along every so often. The fact that he is so humble and grounded with all those skills is refreshing. I am happy that he left on his own terms. Thanks for the memories Mr. Ward and thanks for representing Christ in the lions den. You walked out of the sport unchanged and on top. Your light shined though your actions and life. SOG you will be missed, but not forgotten.

I find it interesting that boxing professionals had the Ward/Kovalev fight going either way buy 1 or 2 rounds... But apparent boxing fans cry "Robbery" A robbery is when a man dominates another man and the decision doesn't go his way... There is absolutely no way that Ward/Kovalev was a robbery It was a close fight that a lot but f people had Kovalev winning... But a robbery? No way

Floyd always does that jab to the body in all his fights, it’s one of his greatest weapons, that’s partially how he starts slowing down his opponents and get them to lower their hands and then he goes upstairs, Floyd is a master at that and I can see why Ward is using that technique.

I love this guy, my profession is absolutely different from boxing, but he is telling universal truths.

This guy is a true great not a hyped up overrated sportsman but a true great in and more importantly out of the ring.

Perhaps watching Mayweather is when he noticed it because it was so obvious, but the jab to the body is basic bruh. Employing in a fight simply requires rhythm and set up that more recent boxers don't work on, just like he mentioned to the reporter.

frankie xrcist Roy Jones ain’t a better boxer than Floyd stop it. Roy Jones relied on his athletism to be great. Once his gifts started to wear off, he tanked. Once Floyd got older, he used his IQ , fundamentals and prestine defense to beat everybody. Thats a testament to his longevity in the sport. That’s what elite legends do . People will never admit it but Roy ain’t seeing Floyd when it comes to boxing skills period!

He should totally make general purpose motivational material.

Ward should be a poster child for all that is still pure and genuine in boxing.

The jab to the body is easy to land if you set it up by jabbing a bunch of times to the face/guard, and then when you want to land the body jab, you feint to the head, then strike the body. Keep your head off the center line when you jab and you'll almost never get caught. Plus after they fear the body shot you can hit the head all day

My coach taught me something similar. I’m orthodox but i fought southpaw because I said it was uncomfortable. Things that make you uncomfortable is what you have to spend more time doing

Floyd was my favorite fighter but I'm glad this era of undefeated fighters is coming to an end. Once every top fighter has been defeated then people will cease to fixate on it and this will lead to more top fighters fighting each other. Only Crawford, M Garcia and a couple left.
