When my father was in the process of dying in 2017 he was laying on a rented hospital bed in his own darkened bedroom at home and they had a hospice nurse there and he asked the people around him if they saw the Redbirds? They told him no then he was quiet for a while. Then pretty soon he said, “Oh thank you for bringing the light, that helps a lot.” Then he raised his right arm and held out his hand like he was taking someone’s hand and said, “Jesus.” They he breathed his last breathe.

Dude, it was a hymn from the moment someone set English words to it. All Sister Act did was show people that side of it. There are songs that are born to be both a hymn and a secular song and this is one of them.

This song is on memory of my beautiful sister.. she took my mum, our sister and myself to the first Sydney concert of Andre’ I am crying as I write, feeding mum, 94 end stage dementia.. my sister died suddenly 9 weeks and two days ago.. undetected brain tumour, collapsed never to wake 😢 And I loved this song since I was a little kid.. Thanks Peggy March..

And what about the people died and still dying because of the terrible mistakes and falsehood of the governments all over the world? What about people lost their existence? What about people died from suicide because of the lockdown? What about all of us accepting this and looking to the other side? But we will wake up. Every day a bit more. This is for sure.

Maybe because they like the version from "Sister Act" better. 🤷‍♂️. It's possible. It happens when you listen to any song covered by different groups or artists.
