Quick lil story Paul Made the beat, it was originally for Pat who used it for “choose You” which was In 2002, while pimp was locked up during those times .. He heard the song and asked Paul to hold that beat and wanted to rap over it & when he got out 05’.. He and Bun did “UnderGround Kingz” in 2007, and knowing Pimp, he of course he paid Paul(& juice) for the Beat, and it technically became his beat, so the outcome is what is was .. And why he got mad? Well Pimp was expressing how he hated where hip hop was going, been out for 1.5 years (before his death) and hated how soft and gay it was becoming, and Atlanta was a huge problem to it, but respected artist like Outkast, TI and Ludacris .. but also still and wouldn’t allow anyone to walk all over him(pimp) .. and the sad thing is, Pimp never got to see the Respect and love the song had received because, 3-4 months later he passes away & during those months.. Son was ducking and running from tryna be killed .. if you know, you know

Pimp was a legend. Pimp also had a genuine misunderstanding when it came to the power of others. He thought doing Big Pimpin would make them lose fans lol

lol @ Pimp being mad at Dre for taking the beat out when that dude basically filmed his own Big Pimpin video and sent it to Jay rather than just flying to their location and being in the real video.

To me, Bun and Big Boi's verses mean nothing on this track. Stacks sets it up, the beat drops and goes perfectly into Pimp. The dichotomy between Stacks being on some marriage and Pimp being on pimpin' kills it. The other verses are just filler.

I would have to disagree. Obviously, their verses went da hardest rapping wise, but when I listen to Bun and Boi verses, I think that it makes the topic of the song come full circle. Each verse gives the philosophy of every man's respected decisions on how men view relationships. 3k is the one choosing to marry, Pimp is the playa, Bun is the pimp in action (recruitment), and Big Boi is the big brother giving advice on being cautious of relationship entrapment.
