The only food related show in India that I love. Also, coming from a docu filmmaker, give that editor a rise. Nothing out of the box in this, but the Editing in the Goa series was sharp like a katana.

Finally “Telugu” food getting its due. I am a Telugu guy who grew up in North India. The stuff(variations) we do with the meats is insane. Way too many variations compared to North India. Sad that it is not as popular as it should be(apart from the Idlys, Dosas).

Because there's nothing original in Andhra cuisine...its all a bit of this and a bit of that!! Mix of east and south with high notes of chettinad, malvani, kerala cuisine...if that's what you call originality!! Not a single dish has origins from Andhra... it's all glorified with CHILLY!!

I travel a lot each year, but after 2 weeks in the west, my first meal in Bangalore is always at Nagarjuna! The mutton biryani, Andra chilli chicken and fish fry; always hits the sweet spot
Shoutout to the owner. She is so cute and diplomatic at the same time. Not overly touchy about her culture yet very close to it. Andhra cuisine as per my opinion, is the most untapped cuisine in the indosphere.

Woww.... Awesome Video. Thanks for this wonderful episode Sid and Shanky. You guys can make the viewer actually experience the taste of the food through your facial expressions and the way you explain every detail of the dish. The Iconic Nagarjuna on Residency Road beside the erstwhile Galaxy theater is where I had my first Andhra Unlimited Meals in 1996 and I became an Instant fan of Andhra Meals. Nothing beats Andhra Meals and the food served at Nagarjuna is the BEST. Me being a foodie I always opt for the unlimited meals option and for me it is complete "Paisa Vasool" . Their Gongura Chutney is something everyone looks forward for. After watching this episode i am craving for unlimited Andhra Meals and I am gonna have it for sure. The non vegetarian fare too is simply out of the world. Thanks for this wonderful video and keep the good work going. Love you Sid and Shanky and a huge HUG from me to both of you. Looking forward for more such videos.

it takes us a minimum of 3 to an average 5 hours to shoot 1 episode bud. Its more of a TV show filming process :)
The MG road branch is the best one i have tasted... Neva ever go to the jayanagar branch, quality and the hospitality of the resturant sucks

@@sandeepshinge16 Ofcourse I have Sandeep. The mutton fry has more oil than compared to Annapurna and the biryani's spices are lighter than Annapurna I feel. The spices and not the heat level. Other than this every dish in chicken and mutton they offer are ditto I feel, lol.
Shanky thinks his Mom a lot, maybe he should do a vegetarian dish with Amma at home, that would be quite a watch...

4:52 - Konkani is not a Dravidian language but an Indo-Aryan language with similarities to Marathi. Moreover, what you forgot on your list was the most important Dravidian language - Tamil.
I'm from Andhra and Pappu is the King at Nagarjuna, even restaurants in Hyderabad and most andhra cities don't make such good pappu. Every other thing on the menu at nagarjuna feels pretty average, been there alteast 20 times.

@Sid Mewara Pappu is the kind of comfort dish that’s made almost everyday in a telugu household. Closest comparison I can draw is a dal tadka/rajma chawal in the northern region. It has split toor dal, green leafy veg like Palak/methi, green chillies, tomatoes, garlic cooked slowly and mashed later. Also has tamarind pulp, that’s where you got the sourness from.

@@SidMewara The pappu at Nagarjuna has the right amount of slimy texture, the right amount of palak, tadka & the spice level is always consistent. Usually the Andhra dals go really well with Ghee but this one hits different. That's probably why it's so popular.
