Superswede - my boyhood hero - there will forever be a special place in my heart for Ronnie Peterson.. He was a fantastic driver in F1 and would've become World Champion had he not succumbed to his injuries at Monza in 1978. A gigantic tragedy in my early teens. Subsequently an event to which I've never fully recovered. Despite the grief I'm happy in the knowledge that he died doing what he loved - being a racing driver. He was soo quick - probably the fastest man out there at that time. Thanx for uploading the vid. Rxx

Invaluable document. 0:19 and 0:27 Ronnie turning by sheer oversteer, a joy for the eyes but also a pain for his rear wheels. 4:15 "Luft", "Sechs Punkt Belten".... not too far from German... knowing English and ein bisschen Deutsch I can almost get Svenska (not the same for Ronnie himself, when he speaks Svenska I can't get a thing!!!).

I remember that morning when I read morning post Aamulehti when I used to go to elementary school in Tampere. There was that large photo of him liying unconcious in hospital bed. So sad story.

När jag lärde mig om Barbros öde så tycker jag det lät för djäkla sorgligt. Dottern som jag förstår lever ett bra liv i alla fall. Ronnie och Barbro lät så lugna av sig. Det känns bra.

Exactly. Today no journalist would have ever asked such questions. But really, that's the way it was in those days.
