My neighbor had one too, red 64’ drop top and that 289 was hot brother! 351 heads, Lunati cam,etc. etc. 400 plus hp at 7600 it screamed. That car embarrassed many a big block I was so lucky to have known that guy. You know from having one that as small as they were that 289 even in mild trim was no slouch, especially with a Top Loader 4 speed and 4:10 Detroit Locker

Invaluable document. 0:19 and 0:27 Ronnie turning by sheer oversteer, a joy for the eyes but also a pain for his rear wheels. 4:15 "Luft", "Sechs Punkt Belten".... not too far from German... knowing English and ein bisschen Deutsch I can almost get Svenska (not the same for Ronnie himself, when he speaks Svenska I can't get a thing!!!).

He forgot to mention Gunnar Nilsson who won one grand prix in Belgium in 1977. He had a much better career than Reine Wisell with all respect.

I remember all of us piling into a car to go and watch Reine Wisell drive the jet-engined Lotus at the British GP in Silverstone in 1971. My brother worked at Gulf in the 70s and told me about Reine giving him a lift in the Gulf Mirage at Le Mans when they went to get some petrol in quali. I think he had to change his trousers afterwards :-) RIP Reine.
