I dont know why anyone ever doubted Anderson. He was a stand alone artist way before the silk sonic collab. Dude been a beast.

I’ve listened to Bruno and Andy separately and they are amazing on their own…Them coming together was everything

I'm loving Anderson's wig choices. He's having the time of his life.

Anderson Paak is the king of REAL R&B

Andy been a fucking genius for years now I’ve always loved his music

Paak has been killing it WAY before Silk Sonic

His voice sounds much better, more relaxed

Andy opened for Bruno in 2017 in Europe and Bruno said in multiple interviews that he would watch him perform and kill it night after night. Bruno became even more of fan watching Andy perform. The pandemic provided an opportunity for them to finally work together without distraction and Silk Sonic was the result. Besides their music complementarity they have FUN together and great music is the result. Idea for a group emerged organically from their time in the studio, so Bruno didn’t “choose” him, technically.

Exactly. Most people think just because Bruno's famous that he's the "higher" one in the duo. The partnership just happened organically. Bruno didn't "recruit" Paak or something. It's just two talented people coming together.

Bruno says he called Andy to come over on his birthday for them to work on something in the studio. The rest is history.

Also, Bruno didnt pick anybody. What Bruno realized is that “smooth” gets old. Andy had funk and grit. Bruno said when they were touring they started writing together, then five years later, he called Andy and say man you want to get back in the studio and finish that song come to the studio. Andy said he told Bruno. Man. its my Birthday and I am drunk. Bruno said come over anyway … Andy did and the rest is history!

@@twittertwice I was only expressing what Bruno Mars had said about the merger of Mars and Paak. This was detailed in a interview with the two of them. I would never know anything and I don't pretend that I know. I just watched the interview live. Obviously you know them personally and they told you something different. Great. You won’t be disappointed. Start with NPR Tiny Desk, then Grub Hub concert. Look at as much live as possible, because he always adds another layer of jazz or funk to the studio versions of the songs he performs. But then on albums, I’d start with Malibu where he got his first Grammy nomination(2016) for best R & B album. I think he lost to Beyoncé’s LemonAde, but Malibu will/has stand the test of time. He also lost to Beyoncé in 2021 for best music video.

I think the title is a bit of a reach. Bruno didn't CHOOSE Anderson. They've toured together several years ago and they had chemistry. So they chose to collaborate on some music, then they brought in Bootsy Collins to oversee the music and Bootsy also gave them their name. They asked Bootsy to name them because Bootsy also gave Babyface his name. So Bruno didn't choose Anderson... They chose each other. 💪🏽🔥🔥🔥

He was doing this great before Bruno. Bruno became an instant fan. We love both Andersons free nationals and Bruno's hooligans. Something is telling me that more silk sonic music was recorded during the years 19 and 20 and 21. "Something is going to pop!". Soon. After Beyonce's album next month.

This is borderline offensive. Anderson has been legit for a while. In a genre of music that is more artistically interesting as well. Bruno is pop and that’s fine but Anderson’s is way more interesting.

@@unclebraddah In some of their funnier interviews Andy admits that Bruno’s commercial success and wider fan base benefits him. He doesn’t seem to have an ego about it. In one interview, when Bruno joked that had they worked on more songs, the band wouldn’t have broken up and he’d go back to working with Cardi B. Andy said, “that’s ok. It’s all good. At least we got to # 1.” LOL.
