Will play this game soon too, until then i wait with this video. I just hope it will actually feel more like Zelda again and not how BoTW felt more mainstreamed-"nintendo skyrim". Don't get me wrong, BoTW itself was a good game. But i wouldn't consider it to be "very zelda"

Hey Gab few tips for you, - if your fuse weapons are about to break but you really like the base weapon, you can replenish the durability of said weapon by destroying the attached component and reusing the fuse ability on said weapon. And if by mistake you attached something important to your weapon or shield you can later get it back at some point in game so don't worry. - if the cave icon on map has a check mark that means you have defeated that frog monster of that cave. Some cave have a some kind of banner hanging from the ceiling or walls , if you see that then make sure to thoroughly explore the cave they have certain items that are really helpful. - You can also throw the items by hand actually. I'm really looking forward for this playthrough, your Zelda ones are my personal favourite.

The best advice I can offer so far is to experiment and think really outside the box. So far, I've made a mega-log to put alongside mountains and hills with 5 tree logs and stones to the sides as resting points when climbing it. I've put a control point on a wheel with 4 fans around the wheel to make a hover pad. And a wagon death machine by building a wagon and putting weapons in the front along with flamethrowers. Also, constantly trying out fusion options and throwing items with your hand (R) or with a bow can help out a lot. You can unfuse weapons in the inventory so if you make something you don't like you can always redo it ✨🌙

36:29 Upgrading the Purah Pad is locked behind doing one of the temples in the main quest first. The ability in the bottom right corner is unlocked through a sidequest found in the depths. Collecting all the memories before doing any Temples is a bit "spoilery", you might prefer to experience doing Temples before memories. Two handed weapons are better for turning into rock hammers since you only need to hit ore rocks once instead of twice to break them. Armour wearing bokoblins can't be harmed until you break their armour, which takes less hits to break from rock hammers than bladed weapons. Muddlebud arrows are good for defeating Bokoblin hordes. Ultrahand can be used against the big bosses made of metal cubes. Link can now climb the dragons & stay on them while collecting their parts, but you'll need the relevant elemental resistance to not take damage from them. Goron City & Rito City sell 2 of the armour sets you'll need, the other is found in caves but isn't as necessary as the other 2. The Goron City merchant is lying about the price of the Heat Armour being on discount, you'll get it cheaper at the headquarters of the new company. Fusing Dragon parts to weapons gives them elemental power allowing you to oneshot certain enemies. Elemental weapons & shields can also provide cold or heat resistance depending on which Dragon part you use. Weather resistance from shields & weapons doesn't stack, so you'll still need to combine with wearing a piece of armour when 2 levels are needed, but applying weather resistance to your shield instead of your weapon means you can use whatever weapon you want in those environments. A very energy efficient, useful machine for travelling is a Flying bike made by attaching 2 fans to a steering stick so that the fans are blowing diagonally downward & backwards. A brightbloom seed can be thrown onto the front to make it suitable for traversing the depths. The depths have enough Zonaite to transfer for the crystallised charges needed to increase your battery power for Zonai machines.

Im a little bit late, but heres a thing that probably wasnt mentioned three times already: You can fuse a bundle of wood to any weapon to create a torch. Its not powerful, but it can be used for a lot of different things like making balloons fly, melting ice blocks or lighting up things. It is also quite durable so it can be used for a long time before breaking.

I'm only at 46:57 right when Gabs is trying out the Ultrahand rotation for the first time so I'm not sure if she figures it out down the line or if someone else mentions it, but this is what I told my husband who had difficulty with the rotation. Use the axis lines as guides - the item will "snap" to those axes and make it easier to keep an item "straight". If you get all out of whack and can't figure out how to rotate something, press B to cancel and let it drop to the ground so it's flat again. I can't wait for this LP!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍

I just realized. How is any of the food Link finds in containers edible after 10,000 years? The only food I know that can even come close is Honey if it's sealed air tight!

Oh yay! I was so tempted to start watching another person playing this, as I have been excited to continue watching the story after watching your breath of the wild playthrough. But hearing the english voice actors and not watching your excited reactions I couldn't watch more than a few minutes. So seeing this pop into my notifications has made me so happy! Thank you for starting this playthrough, very excited to watch you discover all the new story and gameplay!

The only playthrough and reaction I was waiting to watch! That intro was so cool when I went through it my own🥹 so hyped and I had the same excat reaction when it played in english LOL and with all the callbacks for the old games without spoiling !

Yay! I had to wait a big because I wanted to play it myself before watching other people. As I was playing it, I kept thinking "this is exactly what Gab was saying she wanted to improve when she was playing the previous game". The quick select recipes, the option to discard from your inventory when you open a chest and don't have room... I wonder what else there might be.

Rauru is mainly from Wind Waker, but the Wiki also says he has an Owl form, so maybe the Owl from Ocarina as well. He does seem to be a Sage of some sort and comes from the Era of Chaos (Skyward Sword and all) but definitely from the Hero of Time timeline. So, we know where BotW and TotK are now situated in the timeline. Unless it is a point where all timelines merged or something...

Calamity Ganon was the malice and hatred from gannondorf in physical form. That's how I always looked at it. Since he's at the bottom of the castle, it supports my theory.

This game is REALLY great with the subtle details, such as the fact that, at 12:31, Zelda taps the stone with her finger before picking it up, checking to see if it's dangerous to touch. She's actually being rather smart for such a strange and scary situation, and it's great to see! (Spoilers for the main storyline below [nothing past Memory #8 or the Regional Phenomena, but still be warned]:) I would say that this is also what activates the stone and binds it to her, since this is what the new Sages do after their Temples (and, to a lesser extent, what Link does when he finds the stone in the Temple of Time), but Ganondorf simply grabs and holds up Sonia's stone in order to bind it to him. So it seems that any real contact in general will do the trick, not just tapping specifically. But it's still a neat parallel regardless, right?
