Ancient Futures is a mind-bending journey through love lost and found, global conflict, quantum physics, ancient mysticism, afropunk, jungian psychology, and metacognition.
Just like Valentino the main character, Ancient Future’s creator Steven White (aka Seven) was pursuing a glamorous international career - with a freshly minted advanced degree, consorting with the global elite and the military and law enforcers that serve them …”hunting dangerous people for large sums of money.”
When the world changed in 2020 and the glamor ended, Seven began to take the seeds of an idea, reflect on his own journey and develop it into a full blown story - a curious investigation into an alter-ego Valentino Cruz, the character that was born in a short story created for NPR ten years earlier.
As fortune would have it in the midst of a global pandemic, Seven discovered and recruited Aaron McConnell (illustrator of New York Times Best Seller The Comic Book Story of Beer) to illustrate and bring the shadowy world of Ancient Futures to life. Which he has done to devastating effect.
