You should study more, there was lots of transvestites in Rome, they even had gay bars then, and even a emperor dressed in drag. Im straight male, but know this history, so just as much as bloodsport was common, so 2as society in its openness of sexuality and labels didn't become a thing until after Christianity and the family structure we know today was formed, and the bible stating how wrong homosexuality is. Remember these times every male was to serve in legions and go away, some with family, some not and those away on campaigns were know known to be close to their brethren in more ways than one, this was not just ancient greek things but has a long history of what todays society considers wrong, and morals are very different from back then.

I was wondering what was that monument, outside the Colosseum, in front of that triumphal arch one. The video focused on it for awhile at the end. I've also seen other reconstruction pictures of ancient Rome, the city, showing it, but at another location (unless it's another one). Come to think of it, I'm by Cape Town, South Africa. On reconstruction pictures of Cape Town a few centuries ago it shows that same type of monument. It should be reconstructed at both locations. On that Rome one, of the other location, there isn't anything on that spot now.

The tall cone is the Meta Sudans (the "sweating turn point"). It was a fountain built soon after the amphitheater that marked the turn point for triumphal processions to head up the Via Sacra into the Forum. ( a meta cone was at each end of the central dividing 'spina' in the Circus Maximus, so racing chariots knew where to turn - see Ben Hur). Water emerged near the top and trickled down over the cone (hence "sweating"). Remnants of it still existed into the 20th century till Mussolini had it bulldozed so Fiats could race each other around 'il Colosseo'. Today the Fiats are kicked out, and tourists stroll around its re-excavated foundation.
