Id love to see more of the Colosseum's inner architecture such as the many stairways, corridors and entrances, upper floors.

Great stuff. I wish there were a highly detailed recreation of the ancient city of Rome, accurately researched, that we could just explore on a PC - with graphics like Witcher 3.

Can't Radical Impact get together with Dr Fischer and his team and produce an interactive VR version of his model of Ancient Rome? That would offer such an awesome experience!

You should study more, there was lots of transvestites in Rome, they even had gay bars then, and even a emperor dressed in drag. Im straight male, but know this history, so just as much as bloodsport was common, so 2as society in its openness of sexuality and labels didn't become a thing until after Christianity and the family structure we know today was formed, and the bible stating how wrong homosexuality is. Remember these times every male was to serve in legions and go away, some with family, some not and those away on campaigns were know known to be close to their brethren in more ways than one, this was not just ancient greek things but has a long history of what todays society considers wrong, and morals are very different from back then.
I would love to see a re-creation of one of the sea battles they staged...

They should just keep this Ancient Part of history as it is
@DutchAirsoftPlayer, glad you liked it. We tried to keep this project true to History. We will incorporate the statues as well. They were causing optimization issues with the rift so we decided to leave them for the next iteration
I wish somebody would do a video simulation showing the internal corridors and vaulting that supported the seats. The floorplan of the place gets lost in the ruins.
This is so bloody cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love you guys so much
It would be awesome if you could make this into a 360 video where you can look around, just suggestion! :)

Wow! Great 3D. And great soundtrack.
Thanks for the video , It was informative and also virtual . Got to know more about the colosseum.
Hi
Wonderful video, you should do this for all of the touristy destinations of the world like the pantheon 🏛 and the Trevi Fountain ⛲️
Nice and interesting, more of these please.
Excellent. Thank you 🌵
Awesome imagery but I seem to recall from previous 3D imagery of the Colosseum that on the second and upper levels, there were statues in each of the arches that are missing from this rendition.

Why the captions, written narration that covers up the incredible images?
Oh yes it is time to rebuild it. The time has come.
WOW

The real flavian amphitheater was built on an elevated mound, so it seemed even bigger than it is now or in this video

Awesome

Would have been interesting to see how the elevators worked.
I've done this before In the Arena faction of Oblivion
If only Rockstar made this....
Where did you leave the statues in the second and third order arches?
@Radical Impact Your movement looks a bit hard when you rotating. Did you made experiences with sick feeling while moving?
This is so cool!!!!!!
Very good video.
I was wondering what was that monument, outside the Colosseum, in front of that triumphal arch one. The video focused on it for awhile at the end. I've also seen other reconstruction pictures of ancient Rome, the city, showing it, but at another location (unless it's another one). Come to think of it, I'm by Cape Town, South Africa. On reconstruction pictures of Cape Town a few centuries ago it shows that same type of monument. It should be reconstructed at both locations. On that Rome one, of the other location, there isn't anything on that spot now.

The tall cone is the Meta Sudans (the "sweating turn point"). It was a fountain built soon after the amphitheater that marked the turn point for triumphal processions to head up the Via Sacra into the Forum. ( a meta cone was at each end of the central dividing 'spina' in the Circus Maximus, so racing chariots knew where to turn - see Ben Hur). Water emerged near the top and trickled down over the cone (hence "sweating"). Remnants of it still existed into the 20th century till Mussolini had it bulldozed so Fiats could race each other around 'il Colosseo'. Today the Fiats are kicked out, and tourists stroll around its re-excavated foundation.
What's the huge palace called which lies behind the colosseum? I've been in Rome but the black statue and that palace were not there. I remeber I knew that the black statue had been destructed in the course of the history.
Amazing stuff. Fantastic work :)
Y'all think they would ever rebuild the roman colosseum it would be so cool to have a Super Bowl there and Boxing matches
Hard to think all of this was built in 10 years
Any objections to me using more than 10 seconds of footage in my history video? I would credit the original source with a link in the description?
WHY NOT TELL THE BUILDING WAS FIRST KNOWN AS THE "FLAVIAN AMPHITHEATRE"
They should go in with mount and blade
Focking cool thans I really neer thuis stuff
I love This when The Lions Tiger GaTes were opened
Good cgi graphics. There wasn't, though, those statues in the arches on the 2nd and 3rd levels. (The 4th level being the highest level. Some would say the 1st and 2nd levels.)
Is there a Game where you First person play in this Colosseum?

Distant Worlds, I think. Space grand strategy. Pretty sure this was used without permission.
what game are they from is this documentary video
Wheres the statues in the arches ?
did someone MC one of these events without a microphone? I'm expecting some kind of sound engineered room that the MC sits in and it echos his voice throughout the entire coliseum lol. thats my best guess
This video was very informational! Good work!
Imagine a FIFA World Cup Final or UEFA Champions League Final in a peak colosseum at 410CE.

This is amazing!! You did a great job! 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Super.
how the hell did they get to the seats?

This is an amazing insight. I could of watched this a documentary with more detail about the false floor and its removal revealing more secrets of the underground. Thanks for puting together.
...bravo Sf. Petre , tu cu cu religia proaspat înfiripata de tine ai reusit sa stopezi aceste carnagii...
i wish he went into the stands
If you actually visit the Colosseum and go through the museum you can see a model of the way it looked, the roof they show correctly. Your representation of the roof is rather like that in the movie Gladiator, which is completely wrong.
Truly a object of great evil and suffering.

Why don't we have good gladiator AAA games?? Besides Ryse, I mean, actual gladiator games with today's technology
Spartacus forever.
Like Lord Farquaad once said, "Let the games begain."
What PS2 game is this ?
I suppose the Colosseum was the Hollywood of its time, replaced now with violent movies that depict the battles and conflicts with other nationalities and criminals. Times haven't changed so much, as they only stopped killing gladiators as they became more expensive due to shortages.
Cool
Nice
The link appears to be dead

I´d go with you as long as I was guaranteed to be a wealthy citizen and it was during the reign of Octavian Augustus. No Flavian Amphitheatre (Coliseum) at this time but it was likely the most peaceful and prosperous time to be a free wealthy Roman.
The Romans would have animal hunts similiar to a modern day Spanish bullfight.
Nice : )
