I don’t understand why Anathema isn’t one of the best known and most awarded bands of all time. I’m mean really, how can you watch this, listen to this, and not be absolutely blown away by the talent of everyone involved?

Lyrics: Inside this cold heart is a dream That's locked in a box that I keep Buried a hundred miles deep Deep in my soul in a place that's surrounded by aeons of silence And somewhere inside is the key To everything I want to feel But the dark summer dawns of my memory Are lost in a place that can never be Can someone please show me the way? Can someone please help me? For I cannot see and the silence is raging Silence Silence Fade into silence Silence Silence Fade into silence Memory Memory Inside is the key to a Memory Memory Inside is the key to a memory

Daniel Cavanagh will never be considered one of the all time greats but the way he makes that guitar scream is simply beautiful. Criss Oliva will always be my favorite but Daniel isn't far behind.

Agreed hard, one of the most natural and instinctive guitarists and musicians. He just has a gift for melody and makes it all seem effortless. No showboating, just raw emotion

dude this solo is without a doubt one of the best i've ever heard... it's so simple but so well done it's almost scary! Danny doesn't solo very often for some reason.. but this to be honest is up there with some of the best musicians of the old generation

There are other equally impressive solos, even from the beginning. "Sleepless" is one example. I think with Danny, it's always been about the composition, and if the song calls for it. From early on, you can see that he is not a flash player, with wasted notes, but he has unique and impeccable tone and feel. "One Last Goodbye" is extraordinary as well. His overall guitar tone, as well as piano and keys, is fierce and majestic at the same time.

Exactly man! I think we appreciate when he does rip off a breathtaking solo because they are infrequent. I put this one and the solo in “Anathema” up there with anything Gilmour laid down on ANY of Floyd’s albums.
