I have this ep...since i was 21 years old....first press on vinyl...also Silent Enigma in the first vinyl press but when i was 17een old..first Anathema was for me,with My Dying Bride albums ( same in vinyl "Turn Loose The Swans") and the Angel &the Dark River,my really blackened adolescence...after all pains i have live...i move faster to other sounds Like First Meshuggah,John Zorn,KIng Crimson etc,Miles Davis but althogh all i love and i'm proud to not make disappear my past pain (in music & life that i start to live really in my University studies time...) by now This music in a Way of Life very cruel was,in good or bad ways,my soundtrack when i was Blackened...and Hopeless...For That i give thanx To HIs Painful kind of music,that fortunately gave my help in my Darkest years...

Long time ago in 1996 this version didn't impressed me as much as the one from 1990'demo 20 years later. But now, as I'm growing older, I could see so many different angles, which opens an unexpected view on this masterpiece...

came here after listening to dreaming light its hard to believe that this is the same band that are playing today they play everythinh perfectly

This and "Sleepless" are the better songs among a lot of Anathema...

I saw them here in Sao Paulo, Brazil, back in '94. They were brilliant!

Classic Darren White opening "waaaah", "waaah". Still I'd rather take that any day than the new Anathema Floyd lit.

@DimeisGod04 It isn't poetic at all but that's whats great about it its right to the point, he use direct language and expresses it with his vocal range. It's a different style, to each their own I suppose but this is the kind of style I really dig it, unforgiving and true, like Bukowski. I will admit this isn't one of my favorite pieces but his voice just draws me in.

This version is not from Crestfallen.its from Serenades.its a "remake" with different vocals.The real from Crestfallen has harsher vocals.....I cant find here on youtube...

aralarında gerçekten çok büyük fark var ama zevk meselesi sanırım. dediğin gibi bu versiyon anathema'nın eski halinin direkt göstergesi ama falling deeper versiyonu anathemanın ne kadar değiştiğini gösteriyor. lee douglas'ın katkılarını seviyorum ben

This was good anathema. The band they are today, they should change their name....

one of the greatest Anathema songs. Such a shame they decided to turn into a band playing bland music for random people.

Too bad they turnd into a shoegazing faegband after TSE(or Pentecost III if it were up to me), the ultimate cause of their downfall
