Inspired by the beloved films, the romantic and adventure-filled new musical ANASTASIA is currently on a journey across North America! From the Tony Award®-winning creators of the Broadway classic Ragtime, ANASTASIA, the Broadway musical, transports us from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Google Ann Arbor welcomed lead tour company members Lila Coogan, Stephen Brower, Joy Franz and Jason Michael Evans to perform selections from the musical and discuss the show, their roles and their experience bringing this gorgeous production to audiences throughout the US.

LILA is incredible. I saw this on tour. SHE BLEW THE ROOF OFF THE THEATER.. There was a standing ovation after this.. I haven't seen a reaction at intermission like at ANASTASIA,. the place was buzzing..
Jason Michael Evans speaking so eloquently about Gleb, I love how much he loves his character!
Christy is the OG Anya and amazing(!!!) but I saw Lila on stage and man she is a freaking powerhouse!

Lila and Christy have different energies when it comes to bringing the character to Anya to life, but both of them are extremely talented. Christy is more dreamy, whereas Lila represents Anya's determination.

I honestly like this Anya and Dmitry better. Dmitry in my mind was always more scrappy, and less prince charming, and his charm came from his sarcasm. I really thought that Stephen Brower portrays Dmitry so well. I hope you'll love it as much as I did!

@@cyndytran8509 that's good to hear! I feel like I've heard so many bad things said about Lila Coogan I'm glad some people actually like her. People seem to like Stephen Brower but I think the Dmitry I'm seeing in Toronto is Jake Levy and not Stephen

I loved Lila! I never saw the OBC, but I loved how Christy played her in the soundtrack. Lila makes her very determined and scrappy, but also allows Anya's softness to come through. I really loved her take on Anya!
Interesting interview style. Ask question, don’t react to answer and make no effort for a follow up question.
She sound like Liz Callaway.
