I can’t even compare them. They’re both equally wonderful. Yes there are some differences between the two, but the differences WORK for each. The change of placement of some songs in the show that were also in the movie and slight lyric differences WORK for the purpose of the show. The new songs in the show WORK. They’re both treasured jems to me.

I love both the movie and the musical, but the movie will always be close to my heart as a big part of my childhood.

the anastasia broadway really brought justice to the changes they chose to take!! that's what I appreciate about it because when you watch both, you don't get a feeling of need to compare, you just enjoy both :'>

When I see Ramin Karimloo is in it, I really really want to see the Broadway version, we we got tickets but it closed down due to covid and I am praying that we get the cast that Ramin's in once there back on

David Matos Mendes I feel like if they were to make this into a live action (it’s still up there), they would probably end up casting big-time celebrities in it for all the parts; it would probably make it like how a lot of people felt for cats. It would be amazing if they used people from Broadway for the movie, and I just want Kristin Chenoworth as Lily and Meryl Streep as the grandmother, and for Ariana Grande to not be Anastasia. 😂

Animated one is definitely superior. The only thing I'll say is I love that the live rendition of Journey to the Past ends on the literal high note.

@@faraway-2009 I don't like Rasputin either, however he was not the one cause there deaths. They were very bad 👎 leaders that deverse to be overthrown and they executed by new government. Rasputin had nothing to do with that. They executed because it was there own and new government executed them for that not Rasputin. He was actually a creep who committed heresy and rape. So, he wasn't kill the Anastasia and her family jerk, he was still a jerk.

Yeah I would pick the movie over the musical anyday

The movie is good however it is pure fiction. Good story though. Play is historical accurate. What if she actually survived. I like both. Just one is more historical accurate and the another is more fictional.

May I just say that the movie is way more historically accurate than the music

I didn't like the Broadway musical at all. The movie is A LOT better 🖤
