Anandamayi Ma ( 30 April 1896 - 27 August 1982) was a Bengali Saint, described by Sivananda Saraswati (of the Divine Life Society) as "the most perfect flower the Indian soil has produced." Precognition, faith healing and miracles were attributed to her by her followers. Paramahansa Yogananda translates the Sanskrit epithet Anandamayi - as "Joy-permeated" in English. This name was given to her by her devotees in the 1920s to describe her perpetual state of divine joy.

Perfection …all these masters words
I first learned about Ananda Moyi Ma (Bliss-permeated Mother) from my Guru's book, "Autobiography Of A Yogi", Paramahansa Yogananda. The Chapter 45 which has her in a photo with my Guru awoke instant recognition in my mind of her as if I had met her before but she had passed on 11 years before I read the book! A spiritual experience led me to other photos of her which I bought, guided down to the exact photo at the time, 30 years ago. At that exact time, I found a book called "Women Of Power And Grace" by Timothy Conway (1994) which has one complete and fascinating chapter of Anandamayi Ma's life with many photos and quotes by her. This was before the internet. Thank you dear Sister for your wonderful and peaceful presentation which I find to be a refuge from the haste of daily life in this modern world. 🙏❤

Sri Anandamayi Ma while in the body; has many times graced with her Darshan my teacher, with her emanating Presence -Light...i could even felt this , from his re-telling such Darshans....Pranams, Pranams...When She came to visit the Samadhi of Sri Ramana Maharshi at Tiruvannamalai in 1952 ...She sat quietly and sang with the most Divine voice: Prem Bhagavan, Prem Bhagavan, Prem Bhagavan........this is only your little daughter who came to pay her homage.... to her Father....
