Keep up the feedback everyone I need it! One note about the music though for people who are asking. If this is a permanent format change the ominous music is still in the cards for most videos. I just thought this was more appropriate for this film in particular.

Mr. Pink is arrested at the end. During Mr. Orange's confession to Mr. White, you can hear the cops outside telling Mr. Pink to drop the bag. Cops: "Drop the bag, get out of the car!" Mr. Pink: "Don't shoot, don't shoot!" The voices are very low and it's hard to hear, you have to really turn up the volume. Also we hear no gunshots outside before they storm in the building, so it's a safe bet that he just got arrested. In the videogame (2006), Mr. Pink gets 3 possible endings based on player action: shot by police, arrested or escape.

While I like the experimentation on the formula and think the live footage is additive, I also think the live footage works best as an intro/outro format, and I also think the sonic quality of the mic/environment you used previously to record voice over hits the ear more "smoothly" when compared to the sound recorded in this setup. I always thought your voice was horribly monotone and even worse than my friend and colleague Like Stories of Old. The opening shot of this video instantly turned your voice into a glorious thing (it's the beard and the fireplace). So keep up the on-camera appearances! The intro and outro might be the way to go though and I say this from an audience perspective not from a fellow creator perspective.

I've been waiting so long for you to amke this video. I love this movie so much. It's one of my all-time favorites. I recently introduced my college buddy to this, so this video could not have come at a better time. The characters in this are what I can only call "Identifiably Unidentifiable." You get to know these characters as people. You get to know their likes and dislikes, how they act, and above all, how they interact with each other. So you grow to like them, which makes you conflicted when they commit crimes. True there are characters that are better than others, but neither of them is a full-on good guy. Mr. White wouldn't go on a killing spree like Mr. Blonde, but he would still shoot somebody if push came to shove. Mr. Pink was probably the most tactful out of any of them, but he still does some bad stuff. Even the rat, the cop among them, ends up shooting a civilian because they shot them. These are very complicated characters with only a little sense of morality if you're lucky.

Awesome video! I came across one video last year, and have since watched them all! Great channel, I like the idea of you personally presenting an intro and outro and keeping the middle on footage of the characters! I think it cut back to you just a little too much! Also, I don’t think a plain black tee is vile enough, I’m not saying to go into crypt keeper territory, or a Rod Serling style suit, but something is missing… great backdrop, but maybe zoom out a bit and add candles, when I hear your voice, I imagine someone dark, mysterious and brooding, relaxing at the end of the day, but still focused on the evils of the modern world. I can imagine a wider view, with candles, and a darker set, lit by natural light, I don’t know what to change, but I like the new format, and will continue to watch!

If you listen closely in the last scene after everyone shoots each other and Mr. Pink sneaks out, you can hear shouting and gunshots which I've always thought meant that he died in a shoot out with the police though it is up to interpretation. Love the fireside chat feel of the in person sections. They're perfect for an intro/outro to get us immersed while having the normal move clips in the middle. Great video though, as always

That beard is majestic. I do like the videos, which are constantly excellent; but noticed that first. A lot of very good thoughts on criminality and the essence of a job. This video builds on former ones, but with a clear general philosophy feeling, not simply character study. Very much enjoyed it.

Another great video! I'm not sure if you read these comments, but I'd love to see an episode on Kirei Kotomine from the Fate/Stay Night visual novel. His character centers around his desire to commit heinous acts for pleasure despite once believing in morals and normality as a legitimate institution of society, and he finds himself wondering if him being born at all was a mistake. In his early life he attempted to live normally and even practiced Christianity and got married in the hopes of finding happiness, but even his wife's suicide only fills him with the anger that he couldn't do it himself. It's implied this is the last straw that made him realize he can never find pleasure in happiness. To justify this, he seeks to unleash a being that encapsulates all the evils of the world to prove that he himself deserved to live. His parallels with the main character adds even more depth to him, and he's easily one of my favorite villains ever. As a side note, the adaptations and prequels often complicate his character too much in my opinion. Look to the visual novel for the original and purest take on Kotomine. If you've read any of this at all, thank you!

Cool to see you on camera. I've always appreciated your empathetic and thorough approach to discussing the myriad of motivations behind criminal actions. Having a face attached to that is nice. You're a good editor that can do a lot with imagery, but the face to face connection really makes it feel personal. I was raised by desperate people and made a lot of poor decisions in my early life. It's often a struggle to feel like trying to do better is worthwhile because it's easy to feel like you can't change, that you are your circumstances. Its complex and it can feel like no one wants to understand. So when you take the time in your videos to lay out how any person can be changed in complex ways, for good or evil, I feel seen. When you take the time to speak those words to the camera, i really feel seen. It helps. So thanks.
