There's no any fault at jorginho technique against city, the problem is the power, City's GK was jump on the wrong side, but then he realised and try to catch as soon as possible,

@ingenuitised golovin how's jorginho awful. He's been Chelsea best player this season. Last season wasn't his best season. he was adapting to the league. Even towards the end of last season he improved. Am not sure you even watch Chelsea matches.

He is not underrated. Under Sarri and Napoli, he is the heart of the midfielder, the one who consistently passing the ball and moving it forward and around with accuracy. At that time many managers rated him highly because of his technique and passing ability and decision making ability. Pep Guardiola even wants him instead of Gundogan for the back up of Fernandinho (well Fernandinho is 32, doesnt have more time). However, now he is even more complete under Lampard formation. He tackles, takes on opponents and do the ball winning also (those we have never seen in him before under Sarri). He is completing and with high technique in short, no one underrated him

@@irfanpickup nope kovacic too has done well this season but jorginho has most interceptions per 90 most tackles per 90 by a mid though he isn't the strongest defensively. This season he has been given the licsense to be more adventurous in his passing. So he has 2 assists too in the prem

Jorginho's penalty technique is even better now. even if the goalkeeper don't make a move until the last moment, jorginho will make quite powerful shoot to bottom right corner like againts Brighton and second penalty against Ajax, which is almost impossible to save. unlike weak shoot againts Reina and Ederson

It’s impossible to save the penalty if you’re standing still and Jorginho just decides to blast it with power.

Mathew Le Tissier, who has the English top flight record for penality conversion (47/48), use a similar technique. He would line up to the ball to strike to his open side, left side as he's a left footer (Opposite side to dominant foot is more natural). He would swing they foot and watch the goal keeper and turn the foot last moment to the right side if the keeper when left, otherwise he'd go left. He could generate considerably more power than Jorginho, so if the keeper moved late he couldn't get to it. It's suprised that his method isn't more commonly used. Done correctly it's unstoppable.

This nouman dont have other club to analyse and expose except Chelsea. I suspect he is an MU fan.

Hi Nouman, always a fan of your videos. Just wanted to suggest getting a pop-filter for your microphone to reduce the sharpness of the 's' and 't's of your voice. Other than that, always great videos, keep them coming!

One thing I would like to add : In the Round of 16 clash between Switzerland and France in the Euro 2020, the game was decided by a penalty shootout. If anyone has seen that match then they must obviously remember Yann Sommer, the Swiss goalie who made decent penalty saves and helped his country ( Switzerland) to get though to the quarter finals. He was very clever in the shootout. Unlike other gk's he doesn't jump in any direction as per anyone's advice . What I've seen him doing is he stretches one hand momentarily in one direction and jumps onto the other direction to make a save. For ex - if anyone has seen his save against Francec's Mbappe, Sommer stuck his hand 🧤 onto his right momentarily and then jumped onto his left to make a save. Sommer basically tricked Mbappe into thinking that he will jump in this direction but he jumped otherwise and made a save.

It looks special because the ball move slowly (risky), actually his look-at-the-keeper-until-last-second method has many variants as it's used by balotelli, neymar, etc. Jorgie should give penalty variation so that most goalie are not accustomised by his style. Plus, this technique can have more power if he reduce the jump power. Well, tbh this hyperbolic jump is what make the shoot looks stronger.

The only time he missed, is when he didn't shoot the ball to the far ends
