Anakin vs Obi-Wan: Live Action vs Animated (Clone Wars) - Side-by-Side Comparison

If you haven't yet, go check out Hello There's animated recreation of the Battle of the Heroes battle between Anakin vs Obi-Wan (from Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith) in the Clone Wars style animation:
• CLONE WARS: BATTLE OF ...
I tried to line up things as best I can. I tried to get all the exact recreations lined up, especially to highlight the parts that were completely new moments created by Hello There. And there were some moments that were just a couple frames off so it took a little bit of maneuvering to get the side by side comparison to line up well. It's not perfect and took me longer than I expected, but I had fun putting it together.
Full scene from the unfinished Clone Wars episode that’s at the beginning of the video:

Proof that nobody could've done a better job than Hayden and Ewan. Their dialogue and performances is forever unmatched

The movies choreography was a lot quicker and flashyer which made it a great spectacle but the fan animation has slower but more weighty and powerful hits that make it super powerful. Hard to say which i prefer as both are great

After 7 seasons of watching Anakin be a hero and a great person, the animated version hits even harder

Hayden's "I hate you" sounded so much more...sincere....like you can hear the feeling of betrayal and hatred he felt toward his former master and who he tought was his friend. In the animated version, the voice actor did say "I hate you" angrily, but it wasn't the same. Matt Lanter is an excellent voice actor but there wasn't this burst of raw emotion, the grudge and anger in his voice.

What really sucks in my opinion is that if padme didn't die of boo hoo sad, Anakin probably could have been turned back to the light

They should’ve made Hayden look more remorseful, rather than evil, he was supposed to be doing it all for Padme, not for himself, if he had any self control he would’ve at least felt guilty having to attack his master that he had known for 90% of his life

Almost perfect, still a 10/10. If you included the part where Vader is asking about Padame it would have been, because in that scene vader realizes the consequences of his actions that he can never reverse. And he realizes he has lost not only his lover, but EVRYTHING

I love how in the Clone Wars animation they perfected several details from the movie and even added a couple of deleted scenes plus cutting repetitive sequences. I simply admire the work and love put into it, it’s absolutely beautiful ❤

The fact that anakin was still trying to kill obiwan even as the world crupled around him shows just how lost he was.

Looks like us fans need to finish these animatic clone wars episodes ourselves. Considering Disney is too stupid to not put their animation team to work on them.

I like both, but for different reasons. I’ve always loved the quick and flashy, flourishes, and strikes in the movie, but the fighting in the animation is a lot more methodical and powerful looking. Fact is, that they’re both done so well!

I like the extra focus on the CLones at the end. Like this was really on the Clone Wars lol and they changed the order of the shots at the end to get one last focus on Vader. Brilliant. What a great shot of him.

Not gonna lie I love Clone Wars more and prefer Matt Lanter as Anakin, Hayden will always be great, but it’s my preference. So seeing Anakin in this fight as the Clone Wars version just hits harder having grown up with the clone wars. Also love how Hello There extended some scenes, and reworked around some dialogue parts.

The animation can often feel weightless and floaty, but I admire the dedication to even some of the smallest movements in the original they work to replicate. Very cool.
